New Snap Format

Has anyone else noticed that snap changed their formatting? They now allow bidders to see how many other people are bidding on the same name! Also, I've noticed that some prices for DROPS are now $99 instead of the reg $59.

This is very interesting.

It seems that drops are going up now. When NameJet started, they charged $69 for a drop while everyone else charged $60. It's funny and the most obvious case of frontrunning / profiteering off of our wishes. They catch a domain for a reg fee (<$10) and charge us 6X to 10X that.

yeah...the price increase for some drops is annoying, BUT what is really annoying is that anyone can see the names that others have on backorder...just like NameJet.

I wonder what other goodies they're expected to show in the near future.

I haven't figured out why some have a dash ( - ) under number of bidders while some have a zero ( 0 ). What's the diff?

If you have to explain what your domain name means, give up, it's a crappy name!

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Not sure what determines a 0 vs. a (-)

Snapnames is finally back. Last month hardly any good domains got actually snapped by snapnames. But it seems Snapnames is finally recovering.

Good move for them, this will drive bidding wars like on namejet.

Send a message via MSN to robmac

i must be missing something......or this may be old but

i can now see how many people have domains on backorder in snap. good business for snap but then i know do a lot of research on domians and backorder, u can now just jump on domains with 30 plus people that have the domain on backorder as well. think it is a bit unfair to the guys that do hard work on research to snap a domain now
