Snapnames.com IS the best backorder service. PERIOD

Snapnames.com has the best user interface.
Snapnames.com has the longest range of time to backorder domains.
Snapnames.com lists the other members in your auction.
Snapnames.com has less users to compete against in auctions.

    Am I missing anything?
    BobGuzzo.com domains.

    Devil's advocate mode:

domains are spread around numerous registrars with widely varying administration mechanisms (unlike enom where all domains are managed under one account).

more expensive than enom, both regarding minimum price and regarding typical closing prices where there is bidding competition.

Even if it is the best, it is not sufficient by itself (except of course for pre-RGP domains registered with snapnames partners, but of course for this, godaddy is the best backorder service for godaddy names etc etc)

    Really?
If it is best, there should be most users to compete against in auctions.
    Am I wrong?
Pm me with your offer, if you want pr 3~7 domains.

Yes it's great. But how do you know that a particular member isn't just a script running there in background?

Guys, do you realize, that there is great probability that a really damn good domain will be always overpriced by SnapNames' owners (via an auction script, for example) so you won't ever pay that high price for it and it goes to...

It was not my bids, what I am telling that the prices are quite high on Snapnames, i.e. the fifthave.com - OVT 48, very big risk loosing it to saks fifth ave...

    Correct.

SnapNames, Pool, Enom are overpriced. But there is no other place to go for quality domain drops.

That is why I have been telling my customers to seek different approaches. Domain dropcatching and bidding are now for the big guns with deep pockets.

Once in a while someone gets lucky but it's no way to make a living. Fortunately, there are still many different ways to make good money in the domain business.

I agree the days of snagging revenue domains for a few hundred bucks are long gone. That may have something to do with Domain Research Tool

That's only a problem for those without "Big Guns" or "Deep Pockets"
If you had $100,000 burning a hole in your pocket. What dropcatching service would you have address bar pointing to?
    BobGuzzo.com domains.

I'd probably open www.myowndomaincatchservice.com/admin/reviewnew/ to check which domains people found for my company today and set the auto_bid value for them. //jokingly
