Why could snap DELETE a domain after successful auction with >40 participants?

An auction for logik.com was finished today 31-Jul-2008 and there were >40 participants; winning bid was $2,200.00.
Nevertheless, the domain name was deleted about 1 hour ago and at the time of this writing whois is the following:

    Domain Name: LOGIK.COM
    Registrar: SBNAMES LTD.
    Whois server: whois.sbnames.com
    Referral URL: http://www.sbnames.com
    Name Server: NS.GETNAMENOW.COM
    Name Server: NS2.GETNAMENOW.COM
    Status: ok
    Updated Date: 31-jul-2008
    Creation Date: 31-jul-2008
    Expiration Date: 31-jul-2009

It would be interesting to find out why can such things happen...

If you voted for our current President in 2008 to prove you weren't a racist,
please vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you're not an idiot. Thank you

The domain in question was acquired by snapnames on July 28th from regular drop. It was sitting with one of their registrars with "Creation Date: 28-jul-2008". Auction for the domain name was finished on July 31st. Within a few hours after the auction, the domain name was deleted, and, since it was <5 days old, the domain name became available for immediate registration again (with no redemptionperiod/pendingdelete). Subsequently, the domain name was (hand?)regged by SBNAMES registrar.

Another domain name with exactly the same history is raww dot com:
    1) acquired by snapnames on July, 27th
    2) successfully auctioned with >20 bidders and $XXX winning bid
    3) deleted
    4) now regged with enom, creation date July 31st
