Unhappy Safe registrar not in bed with a drop service????

I need to move all of my domains from my current registrar due to something extraordinarily terrible that took place (when I am able to, I will disclose more about said incident).

I am looking for a registrar that is truly safe (and don't suggest Moniker), and more specifically one that is not in bed with any of the drop (expired domain) services. One that provides the true grace period, redemption period, etc that customer's are promised instead of, say, 3 days after a valuable domain expires selling it off to someone through their sister drop catching service.

Affordability is less of an issue than security.

Obviously, a good user interface for managing a large number of domains is also important.

PLEASE help me in finding someplace safe for my extensive domain portfolio! I don't know where to turn to.

Lawyer recommendations would also be appreciated....

    Much thanks in advance!!
