Don't believe this is in the right forum but I think I have you beat.

Neonic OY is the worlds worst active registrar besides the now defunct registerfly.

    http://www.neonic.com/

There is no way to access the auth code to transfer. Support is non-existent. For the past 4 days, every hour, on the hour, I have been recieving renewal notices for a domain that I don't even own from them. I think it's up to 400 emails right now, I stopped counting.

Emails telling them to cease the notifications are ignored. It's driving me crazy.

Devil, this is a great story, I don't think any registrar on this planet can beat that!

Thanks for sharing this story, very interesting. How did you find this registrar int he first place? Let me guess - you probably bought a domain from somebody and had no choice but to push it there

Buying a lot of names at Snapnames == registrar hell

Neonic owes me some authcodes too. I hear Snapnames can assist -- gonna try that.

Register.com, you must call them to get the auth. code, Trying to get that code is like trying to cancel your account at AOL, not taking "no" for an answer.

Nope, worst registrar on earth is www.uk2.net

Let's provide a link eh? Get the *****es indexed with this.

You cannot transfer out, simply put for first 2 years you cannot get an authcode.
They are one of biggest uk registrars too.
I have a hundred names or so still there.
I tagchanged all my .uk names out

After 2 years & you renew again you can transfer out.
If you try to do before you have to PAY

THese guys are scum. Customer support a joke too.
They just got a phone too

I think this auth. code is for the birds....Extra layer of protection my butt, it's just more red tape to keep us from transferring out.

Devil dog found a solution. Not sure if it can be helpful in your situation.

Create a dummy account and transfer the name there and give out the password to the buyer.
That'd be nice, BUT I DON'T OWN THE NAME ANYMORE!

I have a few problems similar to Devil dog's...maybe not quite as bad...but they are all from snapnames auctions. That is a huge flaw in their business model.

Received October 3 2007 from registerfly.
Anybody else getting these emails now and then from this dead registrar? I got around 10 of this kind recently.

Easier said than done, if you ever buy domains via Snapnames.

I will always think Register.com is the worst. They took a name away a premium domain I had already developed SIX MONTHS after I registered it because they said, "an audit shows you were actually second to register it by less than 1/100th of a second."

No, no one is shittier then register.com
    BackAlley.com Backhole.com BlackAfricans.com BrownWomen.com Breathers.com & More!
If you have to explain what your domain name means, give up, it's a crappy name!

Did you know they just bought up Stargate's customer base? I'm so glad I have no domains with Stargate anymore.

I'm transferring out my best names in December to Moniker, once renewed.
It will be costly but got some very good names there

When done, they can suffer same fate as registerfly for all i care. (uk2.net)

That's the plan, get 'em all at Moniker. It's a year long thing transferring them all across, as and when, but getting there.
