How good are they at responding to cybersquatting complaints?

I just emailed Enom about a cybersquatting complaint (someone owns the .com of a friend of mine and his nickname, both are not with his permission and one of them is impersonating him) while the other is tarnishing his reputation by having ads to unethical people in the eyes of the industry.

I sent it to the customer support email but it bounced back so I sent it to legal@enom.com

What are my chances of getting the domains?

I'd say close to none. Why should they believe you?

How can I get them to at least discontinue them? Neither myself or the client has the money for a WIPO complaint and the person who owns it already stole thousands of dollars from my client (and he's in Peru so we really can't take any legal action against him).

Have a lawyer write a letter? Write a cease & desist letter? Write a threatening letter to the Hosting company? Preferably from an attorney, or with your clients letterhead.. ie, bluff them, see what it does.

You can also report the name for invalid whois. Enom usually puts the name on hold when they are notified.

As far as I know the WhoIs information is valid, it's just an illegal domain.

    - someone owns the .com of a friend of mine and his nickname

What legal rights does your friend have to the .com and his nickname?

    - both are not with his permission

What makes you say the owner needs your friend's permission?

    - one of them is impersonating him

In what way does the domain owner impersonate your friend?

    - it's just an illegal domain.

What makes you say it's illegal?
