More than ridiculous.
Some tweets claim DDOS, others internal DNS outage.
No tweet or messages from Moniker or Snapnames. No answer on phones. No support, no update, nothing.
If you are new to domains and looking to buy, sell and learn about domains then you have come to the right place. Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!http://www.moniker.com isn't resolving for me and hasn't been for the past couple of hours. Same with SnapNames.
None of my domains using Moniker's nameservers are resolving, either.
This is getting ridiculous...

I noticed this earlier when I tried to login on my account. I'm just glad that I don't have names with them anymore.
Edit:
Funny thing is that, I logon to reg 3 names [since they have the lowest .Net reg currently, at least according to Domparison] only to see the site down again.

It's not the first time their DNS is reportedly down. Use a third party DNS service for maximum redundancy.
I'm moving all my Moniker names to Fabulous as soon as they are back online.

It's up for me now. What about you guys?
Also, some of my names weren't effected, so it didn't appear to be all their servers. Can someone confirm?
Yes.. back up. I'll be moving out. 4+ hours. No support. Nothing. Unacceptable.
Up again indeed. I will move also. Unfortunately.

We had a technical service outage overnight effecting both moniker and snapnames, and our engineers are working dilegently on the root cause and restoring service, we will provide you with an update as soon as one is available. Our sincere apologies for the complications. I will update this post when the outage is restored.

Not loading and SSL error on my end.
All sites are back up now ..try clearing your CACHE if not loading. Will update this post once we have official tech report on the causes of the outage.

John, I am not sure if your typo was meant to be "outage" or "outrage," but my suggestion is that you might want to try to put safeguards in place to avoid both next time.
Works just fine. All 7 of my Moniker domains are safe. Whoever said the SSL doesn't work, needs a spanking with an SSL certificate![]()

So what are you going to do to make sure that this fiasco never happens again? To make sure you never pull down countless thousands (millions?) of websites again?
What about the appalling lack of communication? Where were your staff? In bed at home? No support. Zip. Not even a tweet. What sort of operation does that?
These are fair questions, John.

Appropriate steps are being taken to avoid future outages including better communication. We apologize for the complications.
What steps are they John?
Noting that "better communication" is not a step to avoid future outages.
And better communication would usually entail more than one sentence
