The preliminary domain name auction list for the Jan 09 Internext Expo in Las Vegas has been posted and can be downloaded on Moniker's website:

It's not the final list because they still have to shuffle the Live auction order in which the names will be auctioned, but its a pretty good indicator of the adult inventory.

I'm not sure if there will be a webmaster radio simulcast; the info on the link above about the broadcase is last year's time and date.

Here is a list of the names on their list that actually have traffic ( bare to XXXX a day ). These are stats of overture with for 2 years. Each number is a month.

Take note of their approx 2,000 name list approx just 135 ( below ) actually have ovt/w history and all .COM.

If anyone wants to know how to use these ovt/w numbers to gauge traffic ( natural uv's ) I would be happy to explain. It is not a science but a rough idea and used daily by all major drop auction buyers.

i don't understand how this works - i know the numbers are nothing like the actual traffic the 2 domains of mine that are on that list have according to server stats.

For people... well smart people, cannot stop the stupid ones.

When looking at that 2000+ name list if one is a domainer and not an adult industry type that says to themselves Ill take it and use it any way regardless of this and that, than the cold hard facts should come into play.

I am merely pointing out some number's. Any serious 5 fig and up buyer will be doing this any ways and if not it doesnt matter to them and they just like the name.

I wish everyone luck, myself included but reality is unescapable.

That should give people indication of how ovt/w can help ROUGHLY give an idea of uv's. I see 100-200 uv's a day. Ovt/w can be " faked " or not true and one should be cautious when a name makes no sense, has no large search or common use yet has ovt/w of 2000 a day! Common sense always needs to apply. Also know an ovt/w of 25 or less is the cut off from what I recall, below 25 generally means little X uv's a day to nill. Also that tool has blank months but is a software issue nothing more. A name that shows this generally means little to no uv a day.

Again not a science but there is not a big buyer of dropping names that does not factor ovt/w. And if there is they just follow the pack into each auction without knowing why there is interest.


Gramma, to answer your question. Take a name that has an ovt/w average for the above of 100. I would take it to mean there could be approx 50-150 uv a day. It is a give or take estimate but generally very close on average. this assuming the name again makes sense. So if a name had ovt/w of 100 and saw 150 a day it wouldnt suprise me, nor would 50. My average ovt/w on girlsonly.com is right around 200, I se anywhere from 100-200 uv a day. Also lookout for wild variations, usually indicator the numbers are played with. Say 100 for months than 1800! and back and forth. When using it and looking at TM names one can generally assume a product/service was advertised/promoted heavily and when not. MANY factors but nice tool to use.

So in combination with X factors one should get a rough idea.

I know I usually include the ovt/w number on the names I sale here as it should add value. And has many times when uv can be judged and over history.

The search engine stores how many times it was used with the extension, hence ovt/w. True it is no longer available, these are last years and year before stats which for a generic should be steady or very similar to today, small variations. Expect changes in product fads etc but not solid phrases/keywords.
