it has to be deleted from your privacy account, not your domain account... thats how it is with GoDaddy... maybe its the same with moniker?!

you choose the domain, click on contacts and there you choose your usual contacts or something like that

Never mind turning it off, I have the opposite problem where I can't turn it on.
In error, I let the privacy expire for a few days but quickly paid again when I realized it expired however after a week still not private?
Correct, that's how the feature was left on. I was not familiar with the method used to turn it off; it's a little cryptic, if you ask me.
