Backordering a domain registered with GoDaddy

    Hi

A domain I want (not a great one, but I want it none the less) is registered with GoDaddy

It has a while left yet, but I doubt it will be renewed.

Obviously, i've back ordered with Snapnames and Pool - but is it worth going with GoDaddy back orders as well?

I'm totally confused on how their system works, despite researching a lot!

    Is the system:

-If its registered with GoDaddy currently, it goes to auction no matter what
-My backorder would just be a starting $10 bid

Because if it is... wouldn't I be better just waiting to see it join the godaddy action, and bid at the last moment?

OR is it it ONLY goes to auction if more than 2 people back order?

There is very little information on GoDaddy's site, and searches on Google bring up lots of outdated information, so if anyone knows for sure... you are amazing.

    Thanks,
I'm selling whoop.tv, ImCurrently.com and lirar.com (As well as others! PM me!)

if you backorder it through Go Daddy you get the initial $10 bid. If you can keep track of the dates well enough you can wait until it goes through the Auction process and bid then, but if it's still a bit away you may as well get the $10 bid in there and use their system to send you email alerts when it hits auction or when you've been outbid.
