    GD against scammer

    hi,

i have been scammed for one name on GD

they told me to look with paypal but when paypal takes a decision (they have refunded the scammer yet) they never change their mind

so it's totally useless to ask paypal.

so what else can i do against scammer (he's in the USA)?

    thanks

You got scammed on a name at GoDaddy and they are telling you to take it up with paypal? Can you give us some more detail and maybe a GoDaddy rep here can help you further.

ok, here is the first reply i got :

Thank you for contacting Online Support. Per the UDRP, registrars are prohibited from making changes to a domain name without direction from a court or arbitration forum. If you are unable to come to a satisfactory agreement with the current registrant, you may wish to go through a court or arbitration forum (such as WIPO, The World Intellectual Property Organization, domain.disputes@wipo.int).

When we receive notice of a pending legal dispute we will lock the domain name so that it cannot be transferred or otherwise modified.

Likewise, when we receive a decision, we will update the domain name accordingly.

Please let us know if you have any further questions, comments, or concerns. Our service departments and telephone lines are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to accommodate your needs anytime.

Or, you can send an email for speedy electronic service.

We look forward to serving you in the future!
then i had written to domain.disputes@wipo.int like they adviced

    but they told me :

The services of the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center are limited
to the administration of disputes over the abusive registration and use
of domain names that infringe third-parties' trademark rights. We do not
deal with registration-related matters and can therefore provide no
assistance in the matter you describe.

Detailed information on these services is available on the Center's
website at http://www.wipo.int/amc/en/domains/. Information on the
UDRP, which applies to .com domain names, may in particular be found at
    http://www.wipo.int/amc/en/domains/gtld/udrp/index.html
then i asked again GD to take action against the scammer, but once again they wouldn't take any action, nor sending an email to the buyer to ask him to pay..

its not a huge amount but i don't want to let a scammer win something, and go with a free name

Now i'll try to PM GD on this board,

anyways thanks to all of you for your help and fast replies
