Getting Godaddy whois info.

I am developing a new whois service.

I can connect to nearly all whois servers.

Godaddy however is stumping me.

If you look here: http://gua.com/domain-tools/domain-w...?domain=5t.com

You can see that you cannot see the full whois, and you have to go to the GD website etc.

who.is/5t.com and whois.sc/5t.com both return full results.. so there must be a way to connect to the server.

Could Adam, or anyone else LMK How to go about getting whois data from Godaddy?

Thanks

Godaddy has been successful at not supplying whois details via other whois lookups for a long time forcing you to use GD whois, which is annoying since it needs the access code to be typed in and extra time involved going to GD's site after first using your preferred whois.

Kind of amazing how GD gets away with that and why others also do not do so forcing you to go to their site and maybe they can sell products to you during the visit as GD does.

Well I realize that, but I note that both Domaintools service: whois.sc and Name.coms service: who.is both get the full results without any capcha or anything... there thus must be a way?

GD has an authorization code that has to be entered before displaying the details.

Or you can be logged into your account and it will show the details.

Could this be the issue?

HAH!

Gremlins Umbrella Authority.

Great laugh. Thanks.

even if one is logged into godaddy it still requires you to enter the captcha authorization code to get whois results..

Cheers for the responses..

The lowdown of it is as follows... when I query Godaddy I am told to logon to the Godaddy website, whereas when domaintools does... they get the results straight away. How/Why?

Cheers

Any updates on this? I am somewhat tempted to simply post a 'NoDaddy.com' banner on all godaddy names whois queries.

Its not THEIR information to censor. Adam?
