The name servers are Funotic.com, registered to the same guy in the UK, which has a suspended page link: http://funotic.com/suspended.page/

I dont know what he was using it for, but whatever it was, Goddady was compelled enough to close him down.

Godaddy took some heat after the VTech shooting, It's good to see them nipping it in the bud this time.

While this is the "right thing" to do from an ethical viewpoint I think it's a bad move business wise for them to try to play the judge and jury over web or domain content unless it's something clearly illicit like child porn or something..there is still the whole "freedom of expression & media" side of things...let us not end up in a communist internet environment where only socially acceptable domains and subjects exist!

What's most disturbing is that msnbc (probably others, didnt see them) keeps showing video and playing 911 tape highlighting the fact that you can "actually hear shots in the background"...bottom line they are broadcasting audio of mass murder in action...how wrong is that!

I agree, I see no need to show the video or play the audio, Or even disclose what this pathetic SOB wrote in his suicide letter.... The media always overplays it, and I think it encourages more copycats to do the same.. Kill a dozen or so people and you get your name on the news for a week 24/7.

It really pains me to see these creeps gain any recognition at all.

Over all it has become a practice I am not sure if this ends, if not media video websites.

How is it different from the news companies having stories of the shooting on their websites? The titles of their stories are still along the lines of "Omaha Shooting" and "Nebraska Shooting". It seems like a very slippery slope for GoDaddy to police domains that are not blatantly illegal.

If a registrant violated Godaddy's TOS, it's perfectly within the rights of Godaddy to close them down..... I don't know what content was on these sites or how they were being used, so I cant say with 100% certainty they warranted closure. When the VTech shooting happened, domains like these were popping up everywhere, they setup shop overnight asking for donations, which turned out to Charity Scams, Godaddy closed them down as well... Then we had the bottom feeders selling domains like these on Ebay and even here on DNF, capitalizing on a horrific tragedy, you and I agree it's a Repulsive act, and so does Ebay, So much that anything sold on Ebay that capitalizes on a tragedy is NOT allowed, which they implemented after 911.

I'm not for censorship, but there has to be lines drawn.

CNN gave more airtime to this killer kid than the Unabomber. If I wanted to see blood and gore I'd go watch a splatter movie.

I also don't keep domains at GoDaddy because of their hypocritical approach of tits and ass GoDaddy Girl promotions while exercising censorship to domains.

A domain name alone should not be deleted without due process. GoDaddy is notorious for enforcing their own policy of censorship and impromptu locking, DNS hijacking and domain deletion.
