    "Pending delete - restorable"

There is a domain I'd love to get at GD that is in "pending delete restorable" status accoridng to the WhoIs.

Is it safe to assume that the domain will be on TDMAN roughly 30 days after it was put into that stat us?

Also, I've never checked but what is the starting, non-auction price of a domain though TDMAN (before they start to go down)?

The starting price used to be $10 but I think it recently went up to $15 (at least on some domains). Not sure on the timing but 30 days sounds about right.

    Thank you.

$10 / $15 - no big deal. In the past I've bought domains on closeout ($5 BIN) - is it the same with this price or does it go to auction after I "bid" / buy it?

It goes to auction first ($15 starting bid). If nobody bids on it by the end of the auction, it goes to closeout (simple BIN). It starts with a BIN of $9 and slowly goes down to $5 over 24 hours. The closeout prices might go up as the new $15 auctions start to end though.

The price does not include the cost of registration, so you have to figure that in as well.

It means redemption in .us .biz etc.
Too late to snag it at Tdnam, place backorders or wait for the drop.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe this to be true.

.org uses pending delete -restorable too, but I don't think it's gone to auction yet. Again, I could be wrong.

    To clarify:
    pending delete restorable = redemption
pending delete scheduled for release = pending delete

Expired domains from GoDaddy are made available at Tdnam for a short period of time then canceled with the registry.
At this point the name is in redemption, the current holder can still redeem it for a fee ($80+ I think). But it's too late to snag it at Tdnam.

    Here's the drop process: http://help.godaddy.com/article/608

So yes, it looks like it's already been to auction. I would back order it if you really want it.

are you saying that once a name @ GoDaddy is in "pending delete restorable" HOLD

    has already being through TDNAM?

I thought it will go after that...

The name must have been available at tdnam before it was allowed into redemption.

when they are at tdnam they are just in regular status, not pending anything.
