    tdnam - "yours on"

I won a domain name at auction on 3/28/2007. However, it says my domain won't be availabel to me until 4/11/2007. What gives?

It happened to me when I won TravelClicks.com.

I don't remember the reason they gave, but it worked out and I got the domain.

I'm not sure but I believe the current owner still has time to redeem the name and you then get a refund. Most of the time the name won't be claimed back and will be yours at the announced date.

It is in the final two weeks or so of the redemption period.

When you do get it, look at the expiration date.

While you are waiting on it, you are also covering the period it is in redemption. So instead of paying a renewal fee and thinking you are getting a full 12 month renewal...its actually about 10.5 months.
