All my domains work like that at FAB
eg www.domain.com/dfdsfdsfsddfd/index.php goes to www.domain.com

Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!I have a casino domain which averages just under 500 unique visitors a day and is currently parked on Fabulous' Premium Version 4.0
The only problem is their system does not accept sub-folder traffic and this domain in partciular gets most of its traffic under /sub-folders/ so these visitors are being directed to a page with no links.
example:
domain.com/sub-folder/ does not work
domain.com/sub-folder/page.html does work
I had this domain previously parked with domainsponsor for only a few days however the earnings have doubled with Fabulous, even though majority of the visitors aren't seeing any links.
I'd like to try and make the most of this domain.. does anyone have any suggestions?

That's the same for me... but if you were to go to www.domain.com/dfdsfdsfsddfd/ without /index.php on the end or /anything.html you will find it does not work.Originally Posted by BLazeD
Try going to your www.domain.com/dfdsfdsfsddfd/
The domains I've checked work fine both ways.

brings up a part of a Fabulous page but without any results.
Perhaps it is worth speaking to Fabulous about this as clearly they are potentially losing traffic from sub-domains on a lot of domains that they are Hosting. It looks like some kind or error.

It's definately no error. I already contacted Fabulous about the issue and they suggested I try another traffic program.Originally Posted by glomedia

Fabulous have been very helpful and quick to explain the situation and have indicated it's just their policy... so it doesn't seem there is a lot of option.
For those that haven't understood exactly what I mean.. go to the following 2 URLs:
http://www.thecasinoempire.com/test/
http://www.thecasinoempire.com/test/index.html
You'll notice the first one does not work.. however when you add the index.html on the end, it will display results.
I've just tested this again and your correct when talking about the 'casino' design. However, when using the 'poker' design both link types work fine.
This is plain stupid and Fab are talking nonesense when they say the program is setup like this - it's just that the casino design doesn't work (and maybe other designs.
Fab need to get on here and give us a proper explanation as to why some of their designs have bugs in them but others work fine.

It definately looks like a bug to me. It doesn't make sense to display a page with just the logo and no results on sub-folder. There is no reason to suggest the traffic on this page will be of any less quality than to any other pages of the domain.
I also notice that the results look fine on any sub-domains eg. dfdfdfd.domainname.com shows results.
OK, I wouldnt have picked up the errors above because I was testing on a domain I URL redirect to another PPC

Does work for me, they better fix that soon.
I would stick with fabulous, you will not get thoose prices per click on gambling traffic anywere else.

Hi guys - just a quick update; we have implemented a fix for this problem, whereby there is a link back to the homepage.
If you are still encountering problems please let me know.
Cheers,
Mike

Mike, I don't understand why you can't just show it with the listings like you do with the poker design.
(please don't click the PPC links)
http://www.casinocat.com/test - shows a link back
http://www.enterprisepoker.com/test - shows the listings

I'm wondering the same thing.Originally Posted by croupier
Due to the way the 4.0 program operates, we cannot send subfolder traffic direct to links. Because this program is typically for type-in traffic, any subfolder traffic will resolve to the "This page does not exist" page. This is the case for ANY domain on the 4.0 program.
Alternatively, the option you have is to move the domain back to the Roar.com program and use the "Gambling" or "Poker" template. 1-800-casinosonline.com is an example of a domain using the "Gambling" template.
So basically, subfolder traffic does not resolve to links for 4.0 domains, however it does for domains parked on the Roar program.

Mike, this really doesn't make any sense at all.
I design my sites so that the index.html etc isn't needed as do many sites, especialy those that do offline advertising (eg. http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies )
The fact is, if people go directly to a sub folder it's more likely to be a direct typin than if they go to a subfolder/index.html

Mike... what makes BuyDomains so special?Originally Posted by Mike Fabulous
See casinocredit.com which is owned by BuyDomains and under Fabulous 4.0 redirection. This domain sends the subfolder traffic direct to links.
I did not know that either.. . No sub folder traffic.
