I have seen a big revenue increase. But have you noticed that today and yesterday that the RPC where lower then you have ever seen in your account ?, cause mine are extremely low. I think there is a problem in the system.

Yup...around 15% increase all around with some decrease on the lower traffic domains.

:disappoin Right. Today's and yesterday's are much lower than before.
Also I am wondering why it is so fluctuating.

    Re: Revenue increased

Same here.....had good increase in begining but as of evening of 10/13, a big drop in revenue and rpm both (software was tweaked again). I followed up with DS and they said there was some bug in the system that made the revenue go high in the begining. They think over next few days the system will be tweaked for better and it should work properly.

DS has generally given credits in the past for low revenue days and tried to be fair to domainers. This new venture is quite interesting as it is linked to 'quality of traffic', so I guess it will take couple of weeks before we can really judge the new system.

Lets see how it all unfolds....I am hoping for a BIG INCREASE

    Thanks.

When did you speak with DS? Cause I have not heard back from them yet and my RPC are extremely low on really good quality domains. If this is the new RPC Im going to be sitting at, Im in big trouble.

I'm getting a little worried that DS is slowly turning more into a RPA rather than a RPC network & we're gonna end up getting a lot less unless we all have good RPA traffic.

    Re: Revenue increased

DS is moving in the direction of PayPerConversion rather than just PayPerClick. This model eliminates the problems of click fraud and rewards higher quality traffic that actually converts to a sale for the end user site.

If we all wanted to be part of a RPA network then we would forward to affiliates sites..... not use DS in the first place.

In my opinion, moving towards a pay per conversion system will be the demise of Domain Sponsor.

im down 20% since they made the change, if it doesnt go back up soon, i will have to find other ways or places to monitize the 1000+ domains i have ''parked'' there...just as an example, one of my casino domains went from an average of about 1$ per click to around 10cents per click, which i find ridiculously low for that type of traffic...I am going to talk about this to DS before making a move, but if it doesnt lead to anything good, as much as i appreciated DS in the past, i wont have much choice but to move everything away...

What kind of names have you noticed the drops on and what kinds of names have you seen increases on? Have generics gone up and lesser quality names down?

    Re: Revenue increased

My RPM (and revenue) is up about 15%. This is looking good. The whole idea is to reward the highest quality traffic. This is not originating with DS. It is originating with Google, as they try to improve the quality of the clicks that their advertisers pay for. It is sure to penalize click fraud, and that is good in general. There should be no room in the system for click fraud.

By the way, casino traffic usually converts best on Fabulous.

i havnt seen a clear trend based on the quality of the domains, the main thing that has changed is the average RPC which is down on most domains. Oddly enough a few of my previously crappy revenue and/or lesser quality domains are up 10 fold, but that doesnt compensate nearly enough for the losses on my better domains...i dont think it has anything to do with click fraud as that can be detected in many other ways, i think its all about bottom line profit for them, not us....

yah, i been hearing about that for a while, but havnt gotten around to switch those there yet...i wasnt really in a hurry cause the revenue was decent up untill the recent changes...

i have to agree with this... when you buy traffic with adwords, you pay for every person that clicks on your ad wether they buy anything or not..wouldnt it be nice if you only paid for clicks that led to sales!? Now for our domains, we buy them because of their traffic, it would be hell (and impossible in most cases) if we had to evaluate(estimate) them on their conversion rates on top of everything else...the only ones i see profiting from such a system in the end is Domain sponsor and/or revenu.net...
