    Heads Up

I would be interested to know if anyone has had success with this company.

They're inflexible price-wize. E.g. you offer 10% less. They don't reply. Then 2 weeks later, the domain is more expensive by 25% (since you showed interest). Then, when you don't respond they offer you a 10% discount.

Totally agree. They wanted $2888 for the .com domain as I had the .net in December 2004. In March 2005 it jumped to $4088. Recently someone has purchased the domain or owner didn’t sell and setup a site offering the same service as mine thus confusing and stealing my reputation – Nothing I can do about it but that's how life goes. This is all down to buydomains not negotiating one bit, just increasing the price every time I showed interest.

    Re: Heads Up

And i don't understand why they are so inflexible with the prices?
It happens very often when we see in the expiring domains, domains that was previously parked at buydomains for thousands of $ !!!
It's so stupid, i prefer to earn $50 than letting the name to expire!

    Re: Heads Up

They once lower from $5,000 to $1,600, after several emails I think I conviced them they would not sell it for $5,000, domain was rather an academic, computer science related, term. I didn't buy it even them, I don't think it should value over $800.00
Now, they have listed it in $6,000 ...
    Just funny.

Correction, now they have it for $8,000 !!

    Re: Heads Up

Bottom line: don't ask for a price unless you're prepared to pay their 1st asking price or the slight discount that arrives 2 weeks later.

    Re: Heads Up

    Their prices are VERY unrealistic.

I really don't understand them, how they can sell the domains to so high prices?

    Re: Heads Up

I agree that their pricing strategy is not the most buyer-friendly one around. Ever since they started using ppc landers, I've noticed their prices rise to a point where I can't imagine them selling more than several names a month out of several hundred thousand for sale. Another reason for the firm pricing - Their salespeople are commission based. Sometimes you can get a 10% or slightly greater discount by buying at the end of a month when they need to meet quota.

Then I should wait to the end of next month to make them an offer...

Thats what I love about them.

If I own a .com and they own the .net or vice versa, I never have to worry about someone buying it off them and using it because their pricing will be ridiculous.

    Re: Heads Up

I inquired about a domain they were selling and they sent me an email form asking for more information then required for a home loan. They have some of their domains listed at Afternic, in my case the name was listed at AN for less then advertised on their landing page. I wound up buying the name through afternic, after the escrow closed all the similiar domain names increased significantly in price.

    Re: Heads Up

I want one of theirs that they got that must have droped from a big MLM company that I used to be in at one time, so I requested the price, and they called and said like 1200 for it, and I asked how many hits it gets, and they were like, 100 a month. The guy said it is not a high traffic name, but "Brandable". huh, It was already Branded! The company is now useing ***Link.com instead of international*********.com (the name they now have)

But I still don't think I would pay 1200 for 100 hits a month even if 1 or 2 people would sign up to the company. It would be a waste of money.

    Re: Heads Up

I received email from them today with the subject "PRICE REDUCTION".

It's funny because it is 30% above the original price I've got a few months back. The domain name still there forsale, it's a .net domain name. I only want it for extra advertisement not really dying for it. If they will give it to me at my price which is low $x,xxx I'll take it.

Well, I move on and find something else.

    LOL.
