    Can someone explain this please

I have a domain SECHS.tv (SIX in German) parked it at sedo months ago out of the blue getting good traffic 50 to 60 a day Not getting any great CTR so I decide to move to Fabulous and when I move it on Fab getting no Uniques. So I move it back a day and a half later Uniques on sedo again right where it left off. THe uniques continue some days as high as 100. I keep it there for a few months but CTR% low 1% I move to Afternic first funny thing I am still getting uniques on SEDO a week later and only 26 in a month on Afternic.

Why does this name only get traffic on SEDO ? I have no clue when I go to Urltrends it shows a lot of links for this name over 3,000 Traffic comes from US Canada Sweden Austria and Lastly Germany only2.3% This is what sedopro tools said. I just moved the domain back to sedo yesterday and 83 uniques This is totally crazy IMO

Does anyone know why this would be? Thank you

I am a bit confused on this one myself. I have also been confused when they have paid revenue, but there have been 0 clicks?

Each of the Programs have different methods of filtering out traffic, I would suggest that you host the domain yourself and url forward it to sedo, this way you can log where exactly the traffic is coming from.

I thought you might know Namestrands because you are much smarter when it comes to all this stuff than I, Why would sedo have traffic ? and no one else and it does show 3000 links I really don't want to go through the trouble of Hosting the domain in all honesty I am not trying to sell the name, I mean as a traffic name or anything like that I own it because I like numbers in different languages I own SIX.tv and 1,6,8 in German 2 In French so I guess I will just keep at sedo, it just seemed weird I will take the $2 it makes a month and hold for a German broadcaster that uses sechs.tv thank you for your insight

Re: Can someone explain this please

Image traffic from hotlinks is your answer, sedo counts an image link as a unique view, in other words if a domain has links to images that were "formerly" on the site and someone has them hotlinked , then when someone hits the page where a hotlink is ,then sedo gets the call for the domain and counts it as a view, but actually nobody is there, it was the page they are on that created the "sedo view" , and not a visitor, thats why the low CTR.

I found this out when I bought an art domain showing similar traffic at sedo with low CTR ,until I put it on my server to see referers, ahh! Image traffic!

Your traffic at afternic and fabulous was correct, as they filter image traffic.

DNjet is probably right on this one.. if you want to know for sure drop me a PM and I will give you an IP or NameServers to point it to that will forward on to sedo while recording what and where the traffic is coming from.

sedo displays different language links in search results based on the searchers country, when all is going well
