I have a nondescript 4 letter domain which is used to receiving on average 1 visitor per day. For the last 3 days it's been receiving 1000+ visitors per day! There are not many clickthrus (with low values), but about half the visitors are giving me a tiny income from the pop-unders.
I tried to search the web, cnn, bbc for some information about the letter combination but don't find anything which might cause this 1000% increase. Is there anything I can do to find out more where this traffic is coming from and why? Any recommendations what I should do with this domain?
put it on a server for 1 or 2 days and you can find out where the traffic is coming from through referer stats.
