I am not sure that is great news. Info really should be a widely known TLD - I would wonder what the stats on .mobi would be given the huge push it got by telcos and some media (e.g., foxnews.mobi).
My point is that I would have hoped .info (which is a really great TLD name given its stated objectives and intuitive nature) would be better known. Perhaps this will give the folks at ICANN some food for thought as regards the new registries for the any.tld project, as it would be nice to have some of the lesser known TLDs (e.g., .museum, .aero, .me, .pro, .travel, etc) be well recognized prior to initiating any new registries.
