Mary Jo Foley reports that Microsoft filed for the domains "bing.com" and "bing.net." That was one of names circulating for the company's new name for search, though of late Kumo was winning in most rumors.

Looks MS are indeed going to call their new search engine Bing.com.

I much prefer the name kumo.com to be honest, bing.com sounds a bit silly.
Additional info: MS bought bing.com back in 2007 for 25k.
