No one knows who the tank man was or what happened to him. Sme claim he's in Taiwan now but chances are he was killed after he was "arrested".
I remember this going on, too how our news agencies had to quickly stop reporting on it since all media was cut out of it. They even severed phone lines ot keep people from faxing information out.

Even today China is still obsessed with the control of information. In the minds of Chinese government administrators, the internet might even be the greatest threat to the country's well being. Even Google had to get out of there. May be in their minds they are trying to avoid another Tiannamen Square type protest from happening?
Within any government sphere, there is no fear greater than the fear of your very own countrymen.
