Strange that you don't call or consider the Bush admin socialist. If you like using the word so much why not use it to describe the Govt's big business bailout deal. There is no better example of the US gov behaving as socialists then the bailout deal created by the republican Bush admin's treasury sect. The deal was also pushed heavily by Bush himself a so called republican and it was funded by US taxpayers.

Private big business being given taxpayer money by the Govt to keep them from failing due to bad decisions. Can you say redistribution of wealth? Taxpayers money was redistributed to large private companies. You should be outraged and calling the Bush admin socialist, yet you don't. Your too preoccupied with the fear and distortion being fed to you. Your more concerned that Obama may raise some taxes although at 40k he will not be raising yours. Your more concerned with what Obama may due then with what Bush did do, more concerned with thinking that Obama may behave like a socialist then the fact that Bush did act like a socialist. Stop drinking the kool-aid

    Talking

In the mid-80s ACLU under Alan Dershowitz's instigation ran a country-wide test:
People were given a text or the text was read to them.
    The title was ommited.
Most folks in the Midwest & South thought that it's some kind of communist paper.

    The ommited text reads:
    DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

I didn't support the finanical bailout of Wallstreet. Did you just assume that I did? Henry Paulson is nothing more than a closet liberal democrat in an Republican administration. Both Paulson and Bernanke should of been fired a long time ago. Hell I didn't even like Greenspan and he's respected by Democrats and Republicans.

I have a little secret for you Bush isn't a conservative. He has some issues where he's a conservative but over all he reminds me of his father, a moderate Republican. Just look at his stance on spending and immigration, Bush is liberal on those.

So don't tell me that I always defend Bush because I don't. I voted for him twice because the alternative was much worse(Gore, Kerry) and history is repeating itself with concern to McCain/Obama.

Today's socialist Western democracies - i.e. - Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Canada etc are all without exception also capitalist nations. They also have higher standards of living as compared to their near-peers. But you can't tell that to the black and white crowd because in their world anything socialist automatically without exception equals communism.

It's little wonder that the largest gap between rich and poor exists in the USA, and it's mind-boggling that some of the poorest Americans still scream in unison "socialist" because their multi-millionaire Congressman or Presidential candidate uttered it first.

And don't even get me started on the fact that so many of the hypocritical shrill Republicans screaming "socialism!", would profess to be Christian or otherwise follow the word of God. For crying out loud - JESUS WAS A SOCIALIST - THE BIBLE TEACHES SOCIALISM! To the wealthy Jesus said, "Go, sell what you have, and give to the poor."

My point is that I have never heard you call the Bush admin socialist. You seem more concerned with thinking that Obama may behave like a socialist then the fact that Bush did act like a socialist. You keep throwing around the world socialist when you talk about Obama and it seems really manipulative.

BTW both Paulson and Bernanke were hired by Bush. The boss gets the credit and the blame for his staff, that's how business works in America.

I was and still am AGAINST the Bailout... I will agree the bailout does amount to a form of Socialism.... Definitely NOT something Bush went looking for, and not something anybody wanted except for the banking and insurance industries.

It's lame to compare the bailout with Obama's plans of Socialism for this country; Spreading the wealth by taking money from one group of people and giving it to another, His plan for Nationalized Health care, His plans to regulate businesses, My business and your business.

No Thanks! Obama can take his Socialist vision and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

Please vote Republican in 2012, America can not sustain another 4 years
of Liberal policies that are fiscally and socially destroying the country.
