Focus you are funny as hell man. First off, im reading this thread stoned and tas is talking about all of this crazy out of body shit happening on that day. I keep scrolling down and you have like 3 random posts and they are all about getting stoned, it keeps me laughing for sure!

It could knock out sats and stuff like that, it could also leave some bad stuff in from space as well. The poles already have some stuff coming in at times, I'm not sure how it could mess with the weather system but it could at that.

If the electric field around the earth drops for any time, we would be done for with out it's protection. Of course GOD could come, but I'm sure GOD would not be like anyone claimed him to be. Then again my guess is that GOD, would not end the world unless all hope was gone for the human race.

Actually, I think I learned that during the peak activity of this solar flare cycle (around 2011) there are some very serious concerns about not only the loss of satellites, but also electronic devices based on earth.

I'm not qualified to comment on the validity of such claims, so I'm taking a wait and see attitude.

Even so, I'm also hoping there is at least some lead time to turn off power to save as much as possible if there is anything to the story. I'd much rather have annoying blackouts over that year for a couple of minutes or two than see the world's electronic infrastructure get smoke tested by a solar flare.

This is me speaking as someone that knows absolutely nothing about this particular subject, or how such things work, but wouldn't such radical changes; change life as we know it? light frequencies, sound, etc? Would it alter the very frequencies that broadcast our televisions, radios, or that carry ones voice to another's ears? Chris, what did you say this stuff you mailed me was called?

No one knows for sure most experts feels it should be as any other day, but there is so much we don't know about these things. But yes it could play with light waves and all, part of the ozone is also gone so that a big ??? there as well.

The problem shutting stuff down, is that we don't know when some thing could happen or if it will happen. We may well enjoy one hell of a light show, hopefully if any thing harmful happens we will have time to shut things down before it hit us. I want to do more research on this angle of it, one thing for sure every telescope will be looking into the sky at that time.

Something interesting I saw on TV.....a giant flare from the sun large enough could result in a bright flash of heat hot enough to cause winds on earth powerful enough to completely blow away our whole atmosphere in one big puff. Of course we would all most likely be roasted but any who survived the heat blast would die anyway in a few seconds gasping for breath. Be thankful for everyday, hour, minute, second!
