Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Bush deliver a birthday cake to McCain whilst Katrina was destroying vast swaiths of the south and Americans were being killed?

But I guess the delivery boy Bush got a tip from McCain for delivering the cake, after all McCain has supported nigh on most of the time since.

Theirs plenty of blame to go around for Katrina on both State and Federal levels... To blame Bush entirely is just rhetoric of just pure ignorance.

Then call me ignorant if I think he and his admin acted totally incompetent before, during, and after the crisis.

And I guess the feds plan to house the Katrina homeless in toxic trailers for more than 2 years after is my pure ignorance also. Funny how even my travel trailer states it is not made for continual habitation due to build up of toxic fumes and such.

Let's not forget the many thousands of New Orleans residents who are so accustomed to living off the public dole that they were simply too lazy to evacuate, and when things got bad were too lazy to do anything for themselves (except loot).

Quite a sharp contract to the Thai and Indonesian tsumani victims, who helped each other, rescued each other, and rebuilt the devastated areas with in a year with very little outside help and no help from their government.
