    The big I

    Is political Ideology good for modern society or is it slowly killing us?

    The world is changing so fast, it's a wonder what it would be like in the next 25 years.

    I think the letter "L" would be much better suited for this discussion.

    Society is changing because of progressives, Liberalism and progressiveness is what's really killing this country, Everything from Abortion to high taxes, Bigger government, Out of control spending, Weak foreign policy, Open borders, Stifling Energy, Welfare to illegal aliens & able bodied Americans who are too damn lazy to work, over.. And let's not forget protecting the rights of pedophiles, or having the tax payers flip the bill for sex change operations in a state that's broke... And how can we forget about the rights of prisoners? where the Liberal Supreme Court ordered over 30,000 inmates in California to be released, a court who's more concerned for the rights of prisoners than the rights of the innocent.

    If Liberalism keeps having it's way as it has, this is going to be one ***ked up country in the next 25 years, where most us won't want to live here anymore.

    Please vote Republican in 2012, America can not sustain another 4 years
    of Liberal policies that are fiscally and socially destroying the country.

    Your ideology is so impervious you aren't aware of your own hypocrisy. You want smaller government, less spending, strict immigration policing and a fed prison system big enough to keep people behind bars. And LOWER taxes?

    Obama just ate your lunch.

    That's right, I support all of the above and theirs not a shred of hypocrisy in it... Protecting the southern border and funding the construction of new prisons is a drop in the bucket when you look at how much money is spent on bureaucracies we can do without, some of which through privatization... Obama's 2012 budget calls for $43.2 Billion for Homeland Security in which only a portion of that protects the southern border, That's $34 BILLION less than what the Department of Education receives.

    Don't believe me?, here's Obama's budget;

    http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/Overviewit's not that much when you look at how much other departments are costing the tax payer;

    We can start by abolishing the Department of Education, Department of Energy, Department of Commerce, Department of Health and Human Services and FEMA.

    This should free up plenty of cash to protect the southern border, build more prisons and pay down the National debt.... What Liberals like you seem to forget, or rather IGNORE, is that Federal Government has a responsibility to protect States from Foreign invaders, it's written into the Constitution, READ IT; Article IV, Section 4...

    Your ideology and mine are FAR far different, I believe in limited Government and cutting spending to fund what we need, You believe in bigger Government and increased spending to fund what we DON'T need.

    It's been 45 years since Lyndon Johnson (another Liberal nutjob) delivered to the people his "War on Poverty", and look at what's it's done;

    About 44 million in U.S. lived below poverty line in 2009, census data show
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...091602698.html

    Everything you Liberals touch turns to crap.. Liberalism has long been a FAILED ideology, Johnson proved it, Carter proved it and now Obama is proving it.

    History always has a way of repeating itself doesn't it?

    You can't just "get rid" of those departments...take a look at how much other countries that are beating the US in education are spending per capita...What is going to replace these? nothing? anything? "for profit" organizations?

    Federal Government should NOT be in the business of educating our Children, PERIOD. Nowhere is it written into our Constitution, That power should be left to the States and the PARENTS should be the ones that ultimately decide where they want to send their Children to School.

    Privatization always does a BETTER job than Government does, that goes for almost everything... If Parents had their choice of sending their Children to Private or Public school, they would choose private school in a heartbeat.. And it could be funded by the States issuing vouchers, which would be far cheaper to do considering the BILLIONS we pay into teacher pensions.

    Don't forget to mention the above when you write to your congressman. Also make sure you use your real name.

    What I suggested about abolishing those departments has already been suggested by many politicians, your just too ignorant to know it.

    Then it is a good thing that no one is taking you or those politicians seriously.

    Congratulations, you've just been awarded DNF's most prized HYPOCRITE award.

    Your aware that Ron Paul, your Knight and shining Armour supports abolishing these very same agencies, you know that don't you? Or maybe you don't, Maybe your one of those guys who blindly throws his support behind a candidate he knows little about. Like the FOOLS who voted for Obama simply because he's a young black man.

    That's right, Ron Paul supports abolishing NOT just the Department of Education, Department of Energy, Department of Commerce, Department of Health and Human Services and FEMA, BUT he ALSO supports abolishing the Interstate Commerce Commission, Homeland Security AND The Internal Revenue Service.

    You just proved in this thread that it's people like YOU who consider Ron Paul an extremist and NOT the GOP!

    Well I wasn't aware Ron said that. But I also said:
