The president of Peanut Corporation of America showed the anthrax killer a thing or two, scoring nearly twice the kills and an order of magnitude more illnesses.
I don't know if you've been following this story, but has anyone figured out if this peanut guy has any connection to islamic radicals or any other crazy religious terrorist organization?

If it weren't televised, would our sentiment have been the same? He's refusing to incriminate himself. From a legal standpoint, that's perfectly fine. Is he facing charges at this point? What happened to other such cases with listeria, e-coli etc.?
A similar story hit Israel a few years ago.http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1021023.htmlRemedia formula to finally disappear from shelves
By Ayala Tsoref
Five years after three babies died and over 20 suffered injuries, the Remedia brand infant formula will finally disappear from Israeli store shelves. Remedia's formula lacked a vital vitamin, causing the tragedy.
Dansher, the distributor of Remedia for the last year and a half, decided to stop selling Remedia products after a sharp drop in sales, with only a few hundred customers a month remaining for the formula.

However, Dansher will continue marketing Remedia baby cereals. The baby cereal market is estimated at NIS 40 million a year, while the infant formula market is over 10 times larger, at about NIS 450 million.
In the Remedia scandal that broke five years ago, three babies died and more than 20 suffered injuries after being fed a non-dairy baby formula marketed by Remedia, from which the manufacturer, the German firm Humana, had removed an essential vitamin, B1. Remedia failed to inform the public, and its package labeling did not reflect its actual vitamin content.
Dansher chose to drop Remedia milk substitutes quietly, by sending an announcement to supermarket chains and pharmacies that it will stop selling the products.
A year and a half ago Dansher bought the Remedia brand, along with the rights to distribute two other baby product brands: Playtex and Noki, from businessman Yuval Levy. The deal valued the Remedia brand at almost nothing, but Dansher continued to sell Remedia products.
In May 2006 Levy relaunched the Remedia brand with a big celebration, saying he was sure he could rebuild the brand despite its image. It was renamed the New Remedia with new packaging and designs to return to the consumer arena. But after only four months it was clear that the brand had no future, as customers simply would not forget the affair and continued to refuse to buy the products.
In fact, not only did the rebranding not increase sales, the already minimal sales continued to drop, and today Remedia has less than 0.5% of the market. Before the scandal it held about a third of the infant formula sector.
Ron Barak, the CEO of Dansher, responded: "We have decided to end marketing of Remedia in the area of milk substitutes. The brand will continue in the cereal sector, since the market wants the product."

Yes, the FBI has raided his offices and is preparing a case, as are several state attorney generals. The difference between this guy and run-of-the-mill "oops we poisoned someone" cases is that he knew the products were testing positive for salmonella and shipped them anyway. It is the difference between a hunting accident and randomly shooting a gun into a crowd of people. Is he facing charges at this point?

If I a not mistaken, the day after the Senate hearings he declared and filed bankruptcy.
Also, I believe his facilities had been cited by the FDA about a dozen times over a 2 year period.
According to Chinese sources, many officials were executed over the dog food Melamine incident.
These were government officials in charge as well as the owners of the company.
Their executions may be mostly due to them denying they had any knowledge of Melamine getting into the foods produced.
Records displayed shows that there was 200,000 pounds (not sure of the conversion) ordered by one of the officials on trial, followed by additional shipments to the factory.
Apparently China has a different view of perjury.![]()
In the '90s, the IRA hit on the idea that they could cause far more trouble and disruption, and with less backlash from the general populace, by bombing 'things' instead of people.
The M6 motorway was the target on Friday mornings - they had a habit off setting of a small bomb during rush-hour on a stretch near Birmingham. I remember having to go through there one Friday, so set off early hoping to clear the area. Seems like lots of others had the same idea - a bomb went off about 1 mile ahead of where I was (no one injured) and we were stuck there for about 3 hours. All the traffic had to be turned round and make our way back to the previous junction.
The disruption this caused on a regular basis must've been enormous. Soon after this campaign started, the UK Gov started talks with the IRA which lead to the end of hostilities.
This sort of terrorism had more effect, and created less hatred to the organisation doing it - it's far more powerful than killing people.
But back to peanuts. As an average, it's said that twice as many people die in the US from peanut allergies as do from terrorism. Hundreds of $billions pumped into fighting 'terrorism' - or should that be hundreds of $billions pumped into creating the impression of terrorism?

You forgot the childrens' toys tainted with the date rape drug...
My god, how stupid is that? Filed NOW, meaning once the paperwork is done, he's still open to any new financial obligations including lawsuits.
If he was smart, he would have waited until the end of the trial for any financial penalties THEN filed for bankruptcy.
Also - filing for bankruptcy does not protect you from any criminal charges, they can still throw his but in jail for a long time. We're looking at what, possibly 8 manslaughter charges and many more "attempted manslaughter" charges?
Edit:
They didn't hesitate here:

Save the wolves - join The Wolf Army today!
Please follow the rules or suffer the wrath of Thor's Hammer.
So, the guy will get 1 year in jail and $1,000 fine. It's 1.5 month per kill!
Apparently, white trash gets a diff treatment by the courts from Chinese or Arab trash
A Portugeuse lorry driver who wiped out a family of 6 while using his laptop on the motorway in the UK - just got 3 years; six months per death, but probably serve about 1.5 months per death....

No, that's under federal food safety law.
Under the homicide laws of any state where someone died, he can get nailed with a lot more. His behavior appears to have been well beyond negligence and into recklessness. States classify criminal homicides differently. Typically, the line between negligent and reckless behavior is the line between manslaughter and the lowest degree of murder.
As to what sort of trash he is:

Parnell's younger sister, Beth, is married to Jimmy Falwell, a cousin of the late Rev. Jerry Falwell
And, remember folks, you can't have "manslaughter" without "laughter", and every funeral starts with "fun".
