That is simply disgusting. I'd boycotted BP weeks ago, but now, this actually makes me so mad I feel sick to my stomach. My mom and I used to drive down to the sea turtle rehabilitation centers in Key West every year. Most of the species are already endangered, and this just makes matters worse. I don't know how those money-grubbing b@st*rds sleep at night, they seriously need to be locked away, stripped of their valuables, forced to share bunks with a guy named "Tiny," and pummeled until they can't move.

I read the article. If its true its not like BP is doing it intentionally to harm sea turtles there trying to clean up the oil. Everyone should realize that this is a unfortunate consequence of the oil spill.

I agree , it's quite disgusting..... But let all keep in mind that BP or any other Oil Company for that matter just cant start burning oil anytime they want to, they need permission from our Federal Government, which may I remind you is run by a human wrecking ball sitting in the Oval Office.

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. - BP won permission to start burning oil and gas piped up from its broken seafloor well as part of a pledge to more than triple how much crude it stops from spewing into the Gulf of Mexico.

Federal authorities gave permission late Monday for BP PLC to use a new method that involves pumping oil from the busted wellhead to a special ship on the surface, were it would be burned off rather than collected.

The British oil giant announced Monday it hopes to trap as much as 2.2 million gallons (8.3 million litres) of oil daily by the end of June as it deploys additional containment equipment, including the flaring system.

That is true. But their response lacked a bit of urgency to begin with. More money should have gone into R&D to prepare for such an event, should it ever happen. I understand they're a company and have to focus on their money-making efforts, but it's ridiculous that they really haven't been able to do anything effective. It shouldn't have to come down to this. I seem to remember Exxon reacting faster than this (and I hated them, too), but then again I was pretty young when that happened.

Not to mention, the televised interview clearly states BP (or its workers) blocked others from attempting to save the turtles.
