BP spill accident or ?

while i was driving today i happened to turn on the alex jones show, it is carried in my local area, and someone was on who said that ...

1. some Goldman Sachs executives sold millions in BP stock in the weeks before the accident
2. Haliburton also bought up the company that is handling the oil cleanup within weeks before the accident
3. prior to the spill some 'undocumented' changes were made to the the safety/seal mechanism of the well

"Terrorism" - most likely not - but I can see eco-terrorism (ALF / ELF etc.).

Regardless there was a bit of neglegence that went on.

It was an accident that was bound to happen because of the neglect, greed, and corruption of the fossil fuel industry. Hopefully there will be some good coming from this if enough people can recognize the necessity of a clean energy future. It won't happen overnite but our governments and industries must work toward it with a renewed sense of urgency to make it happen.

Fossil fuels are not only a short term solution to a long term problem but a very dangerous and expensive one we cannot afford. Our natural environment and economies are too valuable to risk.

Watching Anderson Cooper 360, he has interviewed 5 survivors of the inferno.

One of the men was in the meeting earlier that day on the rig with the execs of BP and TransOcean. According to this eyewitness, the BP exec was livid that the rig was behind schedule and costing millions a day in cost overruns. According to the eyewitness, the BP exec was insistent on changing the way things are done and there was no debate. The crew was to stop pumping in heavy mud and start pumping in seawater to create the pressure needed to get the oil to the surface faster and get that well capped so they could take the platform elsewhere. The eyewitness says this is totally against regulations and against safety protocols and dangerous. The TransOcean execs reluctantly agreed and the entire drilling procedure was altered.

Naturally, after this exposee aired, TransOcean and BP would not comment and released the typical predictable "ongoing investigation" type memo.

Thus far, this is the most damning comments I have heard coming directly from one of the people in the meeting and from someone who survived the explosion.

i'm glad the survivors are speaking out, and hope they continue to do so. as i understand the minute they all got safely to shore they had contracts put in front of them that they were forced to sign that they would not talk about what happened. however any contract signed under duress or any type of manipulation or coercion is invalid. so they have every right to talk

Early interviews from the survivors were they were held in a room together (except for the injured), away from families and press.

I have read that some were held on the boats that rescued them from 36 - 40 hours. Some claim they had been awake 50 hours. They were denied access to outside phone lines and phones so they could contact family members.

According to some reports (please google it, many sources relating the same events) all the survivors were told they were not being released until they (all of them) signed papers (waivers) claiming they were unharmed and papers to agree to not discuss this with the press.

Essentially if this is true, and I have no reason not to believe it based on all the reports and sources, these men were held against their will, victims of sleep deprivation (a known successful torture tactic), and coerced to sign documents under duress of confinement and sleep deprived.

Yes, there should be criminal charges against those responsible for these allegations if proven true.

I chose not to comment on one and two because I have no knowledge of this.

But the other events, surrounding the survivors, there is plenty of video and audio to substantiate the claims. Plus, these stories from them broke when the event happened and have been consistent ever since.

That comment was for Alex Jones, who is a little bit of a nut/conspiracy theorist and will put some stuff out there and then just let his listeners imagination go wild because he knows they don't do much research on their own, as an example:

okay, but using the words 'tin foil' and 'nuts' or 'nutters' and 'nutjobs' is its own automatic disqualification. i just listen, and try not to bring my prejudices. i said in the beginning i didnt fact check the stories yet. i'm glad you made the effort. i posted after i got home since it was on my mind, and i figured someone would eventually post about it anyway. to be honest i had too much work to do to look into it straight away.

yes, it could be a coincidence, but they were talking about three coincidences, not one. when you start adding up coincidences, the more you can add up, the less of a coincidence it all is. its like all the microbiologists that were working on Anthrax started coincidentally dying under mysterious circumstances around 2001/02. not one or two, but at least half a dozen or more

personally i dont rule anything out. there are some real psychopaths out there. i dont take anything and everything that alex jones says as fact, but i do believe there are people in power at the head of politics and business that are trying to create a one-world government and they are up to no ****ing good.
