Lol, if you thought conservatives were desperate and publishing propaganda before... this, by far, is going to top anything else they have done before...

So sad that so many people are going to believe this crap and praise it more than they already do...

I hope they get rid of that Jesus guy. Damn commie threw the money changers out of the temple and wanted to give free bread and fish to poor people. We must purge the bible of these liberal losers.

this is nothing new. the bible has been being re-written, edited, censored, purged, and so on ever since the first translation. theres a long history of it that i happen to know a little of.

if you compare the bible now to even the King James version you can tell the language has been brushed up so it fits with more modern verbiage. i.e. it reads more like a harry potter book

i'm not a christian or catholic or any other denomination by the way, i just happen to find the topic interesting from the perspective that those who are christians and catholics argue that this is "gods word" and "the inspired word of god" that is somehow infallible and unadulterated

Oh I know it's been rewritten several times over, I just thought it was funny now because who it is going to be rewritten by and the reasons why they want to rewrite it... I guarantee the changes are going to be much more than they are stating, this is just a scheme.

People who believe the theories in the book are crazy any ways imho... no matter what version you read.

Obama claims to be a christian, which would in most cases I know of, mean that he believes that the information found in the Bilble is factual.
One thing the Bible has going for it is that it is regarded by many scholars as being an authentic set of historical writings that are believed to have
been guarded with the upmost respect by devout followers for thousands of years. It is considered the masterpiece of writing by many.
It is widely accepted that many of those left with the charge of passing on the writings, believed in the holiness of the scriptures and were more
than likely to keep the integrity of the writings intact. How do we know any of the history we are taught is true except by it being recorded?
That being said, this book is probably as reliable a source for history as any.
Whether you believe any or all of what the Bible describes or not, it does confront people with the truth.

Many Christian Evangelicals within the United States supported the invasion of Iraq. I understand people's disgust with that. What I don't understand, is how saying "love your enemies" is a crazy theory...

I have only met 2 real Christians in my entire life, out of tens of thousands that claim to be Christians. Jesus freaks and most Evangelicals are dangerous people. True followers are all action, wear nothing on their sleeve, and bring no shame to the faith and teachings. As a cynic I feel blessed to have seen true faith in action. I wonder what it must feel like to live it truly.

Only by the people who wrote it and the people who re wrote it and the people who abuse it for control, just like any other religion.

There is a lot of good moral "teachings" in the bible, but they all usually just lead to turpitude...

The book is filled with many deceiving and manipulative 'beliefs' that most "Christians" use in whatever way they please to create pity and guilt for their own benefit.

I, myself, have met a lot of "real Christians" or at least a lot (including Pastors/Ministers) of people pretending to be Christians, but in my opinion they are all the same in one way or another.

Religion was created as a system of control, look it up, and when I say look it up, you don't have to go to conspiracy sites.

I am very open minded to their being a actual "God", but as of right now, there is nothing concrete or anything really evenly relevantly close to being factual. I rather trust proven science and research. Although some of you Christians might call this "the Devil's work". lol

LOL. That's absurd. You are saying good moral "teachings" in the bible usually just lead to immorality or evil deeds. You can't be serious.

Someone could say that about any book. Give an example if you are serious.
Otherwise, you're probably just pissed because you didn't get that special christmas gift years ago.

Oh, you world traveler, you. Obama supporters are all the same, also.
They want proof about the existance of the the son of man, but accept a community organizer's promise to save the world with no proof whatsoever.

What proof do you want? For the creator to turn you into a man?
You are not special. Non-believers have been wanting that "proof" for thousands of years.
By the way, how would an atheist know a real Christian.
I would dare to say that millions of Christians have been willing to die rather than renounce their faith.
That alone should be proof enough. There have been abuses, but that does not negate the basic teachings of the faith.
Obviously, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
I hope you aren't helping to pick textbooks to be used in public schools.
Sounds like the textbooks you learned from were from 1970's Cambodia.

The Bible is a nice story book written by man to control the sheeples for their money. Why didn't they say just one thing in the Bible that nobody could have possibly known back then if they were true divine writings? We have outgrown the Bible over 500 years ago. Most of the Angels and strange beings were simply aliens. The giants in the bible were true. They were half Annunaki aliens and half human.

Have you ever see the star child scull? It has been proven via DNA test to not be human? Here it is below. Now tell me there are no such thing as aliens!

These are the Gods that most religions worship.

My God is a trillion times more powerful than any religions God or Gods. They were simply worshiping aliens. My God doesn't want me to lay around on clouds forever and worship him in heaven after I die either as religions want you to believe. That would be so boring. All religions and belief systems are telling falsehoods. My God never needs or wants money like all other religions do. I also know that I am an eternal spiritual being and my spirit can never die.

I will tell you one another secret. There is no such thing as hell either. It is just another control mechanism from religions. As a former Catholic most of my life, I can hear the priest now. Only I can save you from the eternal fires of hell my son. Confess and repent and I will forgive you. Oh yeah, please donate some money to the church too. Now how is that for full control over a human? Nobody can control you or me unless we let them.

    Love and light
    ~Namaste~
