Thanks, then. I'll let it go at that. I'm deeply pessimistic about the US. It's already a borderline police state, and not enough people seem to mind all that much.
So far as Reggie, in his words: "I think I delivered a great performance, and when I got offstage, as I exited, the audience the responded well. The organizers complimented me. They had a great time. I thought it was a great performance. Then we went back to read what a few people had written on blogs and there was a different story."
I'd be curious to hear where he said he struck a nerve, since it doesn't fit with that quote at all (unless he's talking about a few bloggers afterwards who may not have even been there).

Whatever...it's a four year gig (8 years if he's lucky). I met the guy who played Gorbachev in all the movies years back. Nice guy, and I remember joking about how he had a job for life (since Soviet leaders generally stayed indefinitely). Wonder what he did after Gorby went away?
