I just got an email from my brother in Virginia, who went to vote at 6:30 a.m. (as he always does). He says there are usually 15-20 people in line to vote at that hour, but today there were 300 ....

Dixville Notch always has 100% turnout, unless someone has the flu (but even then they try to make it). It's interesting to watch it - they stand in the booths waiting for the stroke of midnight and when it hits, they all turn around and vote - I think it's the only place in the US that has one booth for each registered voter.
Usually it's done and counted by 12:15AM.
