I've noticed the MSM change their tune here in the past few days saying that most Americans want it. They obviously aren't looking at the poll numbers.

Another great example of denial. We're hearing all the time about how good he's doing for the economy. Well this is what "most Americans" think.

It would be career suicide for many Democrat politicians to pass it so I would say no. Of course there now talking about a non-profit coop which is just giving the public option a new name.

I believe they will pass something. But there are a few problems with that. One is it will likely be something that will force people on to some sort of insurance plan that can't afford it or be fined. Secondly it will be something that can be picked a part in later legislation. It will also be like every other big bill and have billions in unrelated attachments to it that have nothing at all to do with health care to buy votes. All in all it will be weak, costly, and do more damage than good.

I assume you're referring to the blue dogs. Don't give up BD77, write your congressman and senator, especially if they're a blue dog.

BTW, Obama has hinted to removing the public option.
