And in our current election - voting fraud doesn't really matter because the same private interests own both candidates.

While I agree that it would have been bad if the US didn't enter the European theater, look at why the US joined in WWII:
The US was in non-aggression talks with Japan and didn't officially support the war in Europe (even though we were sending supplies and some troops to the UK).
Japan bombed Pearl harbor before a declaration of war (Dec 7, 1941) so the US declared war against Japan (Dec 8, 1941) and then did Germany declare war on the US. In fact, that bombing made it officially WWII since many other countries made official declarations on that day (Dec 11) making it officially the most declarations of war declared on a single day. (We saw it in a documentary on WWII that we own, I'll try to find a link to this)

The US didn't want to get involved with the European conflict on a large scale but was pulled in.
It was more the fact that Hitler couldn't fight a two front war, the US and western Europe on one side and Russia on the other. It was a death grip as the Nazi occupied territories shrunk. Hitler could have gone on a lot longer if he didn't have to fight both sides but he got overconfident and violated his non-aggression pact w/ Russia which escalated the fighting with Russia.

Something about an overhaul of the Federal Reserve and the fiat economy, and taking money from the military budget to put into welfare and paying off national debt.

The USSR amassed an army in late 1943 that utterly dwarfed the other allies. 80% of German equipment and forces were lost on the eastern front.
Armed forces casualties in the european war:
US had 300,000 missing or killed
UK had 400,00 missing or killed
USSR had 9,000,000 missing or killed
Germany had 3,500,000 missing or killed

As my fellow Canadian pointed out - the bulk of Germany's military might was directed towards and swallowed up by the Soviets. But if we are going to quibble Germany it could be argued fought a four-front war - Eastern front, Western Europe, Italy/South of France and the North Atlantic, for much of the war.
As for Greg - yes the Soviets almost lost, but they didn't and that doesn't change the fact that the Soviets destroyed more of the German war machine than the West did. So please - enough of the "Europe was saved by America" line.
The West itself was lucky Hitler was such a tool by always overriding his very capable generals. If they had driven on Dunkirk that could have been the end of England - as it was most of their heavy equipment was left behind but the more important soldier survived to fight again. Then there is not planning for and invading England right away but instead allowing Goerring to stroke his ego, then they allowed the British to sink the French fleet in port, then...
