"The usual suspects" hold off the throngs of Asians, Africans, Middle Eastern and other tribes migrating into the salons of the North, so that you can enjoy your gouda cheese without having Pakistanis disembowel eachother in street fights.

Before you talk down on the South, learn that it keeps the gates of Europe tight. If you're simply an impressionable headline cruncher that doesn't understand where the problem lies, you can vote The Netherlands out in your next local elections.

It's the strongest economy in the EU by far and Greece wants their help. Of course they want to have a say in how their money is spend.

Just relating what NPR had to say. I am sure it would be in their archives. Don't shoot the messenger. Or, kick him down the well ala the Spartans.

This has nothing to do with immigration. Greece cooked the books, and after agreeing on help from Germany they say: thank you, we'll think about it. Countries like Italy and Greece have a long standing history of bad finances. Why should we help you, if you're so though, get out of the EU, you shouldn't have been in it in the first place.

Raider, you hijack a political thread once again to post crap about Obama, liberals etc. I find the spray can image amusing and appropriate. But you're out of subject.

Ah, gotta love the hardcore Europeans. They inherited civilization and now they're looking at it in the teeth.

First off, I already said the Greek prime minister is a moron for even asking for a public poll at this time - it's not only impractical, it's unconstitutional. But this does not change the fact that Greeks have nothing to do with all the money that has been loaned, served, repackaged and stuffed into the pockets of those that started the game. In other words, no money for you, Banksters.

A nice comment I read elsewhere:

Imagine---Bankers are upset that the people that will be affected by their grand plan to heist some more money and destroy the average Greeks lifestyle are going to get to vote to surrender to the bankers of the NWO or tell them to take a hike. This is a real crack in the dike for the NWO. Greece was the birthplace of Democracy---and may be the one to put the NWO on notice that the NWO game is coming to an end.

Fabulous synopsis from the Diane Rehm show on NPR.

    Transcript from June 20th.

    DIANE REHM
    10:07:33
Joining me to talk about Greece's ongoing economic crisis and how it affects the world's economy, Greece's ambassador to the U.S., Vassilis Kaskarelis, Zanny Minton Beddoes of The Economist and Jacob Kirkegaard of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Throughout the hour, we'll take your calls, 800-433-8850. Send us your email to drshow@wamu.org. Feel free to join us on Facebook or send us a tweet. Good morning to all of you.

And we need to remedy that revenue -- that revenue problem just as we need to raise more -- collect more taxes in Greece.

Tell me, Mr. Ambassador, what the normal retirement age in Greece was and now is.
    KASKARELIS
    10:49:13
In some cases, the early retirement was 55, in some cases. But the vast majority of workers used to work for 35 years. And this is also the case for the civic servants. And anyway, now, the retirement age has increased...

Yes, retirement after 35 years of work, just like in the US. The "some cases" reference is that to working mothers and people working heavy labor.

And that's what the media does with lack of numbers, e.g. how many actually retired at 55?

wow, some people did some impressive shit 2000 years ago and their offspring [for as far it really is its offspring after so many centuries] can still take credit for it. Strange how people believe so vehemently in their nation especially since the nation state is a modern invention created for the people so they would obey their leaders.
According to the CIA world fact book or whatever its name is, Greece's GDP is 40% public spending. This seems hardly healthy and confirms what people are saying about Greece economy being totally out of whack.

Responding to the debt clock is not hijacking a thread, get your FACTS straight.. If it's anyone who hijacked this thread it's the douch bag who posted the off topic LIES, LIES for which you agree...

You want facts, honesty and accuracy in these discussions? STOP feeding the TROLLS who post the outright LIES in the first place, Remember it reflects on YOU.

    Off topic too much now.

Posting to represent you opinion is ok.
Blindly search Google for the information to support your own party is wrong.
Personal attack if people don't agree with you is wrong.
Take a day off and think about what you posted to see if it makes any sense?

    Let close the lid.
