Florida's state Representative Darrly Rouson (Saint Petersburg) was just on the radio talking about a bill he's pushing that would ban the sale of all glass pipes and bongs in the state.

The radio hosts said that it would cause a lot of shops to close and lay off employees and his response was that he wasn't trying to close the stores and they would have an opprotunity to expand. So they took him on that - they asked if he was trying to get stores to sell more tobacco, a product that has been proven to be very unhealthy and cause cancer?

He danced around the subject for a minute and said "Well, we're trying to put these stores out of business".

Which is it Darryl? Are you or are you not trying to cause tobacco stores to close?

He accused the radio hosts of being hypocrites because he claims he was told they would have a mature conversation about it and not make the bill look bad (so he only wants to hear from people who support it??). The radio hosts quickly shot back stating he contradicted himself - is he looking to close the tobacco stores or not? of course he didn't answer the question - it even sounded like he was trying to defend hypocrocy.

I hope the people up in Saint Petersburg (and surrounding area) know what your "representative" is up to and how he likes to conduct his interviews.
