Nice!
I caught that on the local news today as well, crazy!
Definitely an act of moronic despair.
Doc, that was a horrible incident.
too bad he still owes the money! last laugh will be on him.
Yup, just heard 2 bodies recovered.
At least in this manner, the only person he hurt was himself.

Exactly. And he has nothing to use to pay off that debt.
I read the story and it sounds pretty whacked. He's been working with the bank for 10 Years??? WTF?
Plus the IRS was on his ass? And sued by his brother??? And the IRS and bank was getting his business???
Hmm...sounds like he was quite foolish...and a deadbeat.
That's right, most people in foreclosure think they can do whatever they want to their home, not realizing the bank can come back and sue for the money they lost, The bank can even sue for the devaluation.
Even if this guy files bankruptcy, I strongly doubt the court would release him of the what he did here.

I can personally understand his frustration with the bank but he is going to have a hard time explaining his actions in bankruptcy.
Looks like he just got to the point where he doesn't give a flying feck anymore.
Well he owes $160K but the house was woth much more.
He even had someone who would pay off the house AND give him another $170K but the bank refused it because they would get more from foreclosure. Probably some bank employee wanted to get for himself cheap.
This guy is a hero...

A bank can't stop you from selling your house and paying it off so there is probably more to the story than he's saying.
