A nasty battle between factions of Legislative District 20 Republicans and fears that it could turn violent in the wake of what happened in Tucson on Saturday prompted District Chairman Anthony Miller and several others to resign.

Miller, a 43-year-old Ahwatukee Foothills resident and former campaign worker for U.S. Sen. John McCain, was re-elected to a second one-year term last month. He said constant verbal attacks after that election and Internet blog posts by some local members with Tea Party ties made him worry about his family's safety.

In an e-mail sent a few hours after Saturday's massacre in Tucson that killed six and injured 14, including U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, Miller told state Republican Party Chairman Randy Pullen he was quitting: "Today my wife of 20 yrs ask (sic) me do I think that my PCs (Precinct Committee members) will shoot at our home? So with this being said I am stepping down from LD20GOP Chairman...I will make a full statement on Monday."

    Sad to hear that.

Was also very disappointed to hear Sarah Palins video today, using an anti-jewish phrase. She is a real piece of work. Its unfortunate too,
because she is actually rather good at delivering a speech. If she ever decided to be professional, instead of angry and hurtful, she would
    be much more formidable.

So not only is Sarah Palin responsible for the murders, she's now a Anti-Semite?

also sad to hear her take no blame (perhaps rightly so) but yet her people scrubbed her site clean of the map and any mention of it. And, while taking no blame, was quick to point the finger at the other parties. This has only further distanced her from the GOP, the right and the left.

It is also worth noting that it is not a simple matter of a member her pointing out her anti-semantic phrase. If you type in anti semintic in the google search bar, go a few rows down. You will see a link to a New York Times article. Perhaps it appears like this:

A Phrase With Roots in Anti-Semitism
New York Times - 2427 related articles

Click on that number of related articles. Its hard to miss all of these mentioning the comments of ms Palin...and this is just page one:

(end first page, some have duplicate entries).

After Palin took the time to blame the media for the connection made between her map, the cross hairs, and a specific person...I don't think she is going to find much sympathy from the media on this. Plus, most of the media agree on one strong point...she should have just kept her mouth shut.

Blaming Sarah Palin in any way for this tragedy is the most asinine display I have ever seen from the left....

Blaming this Women for something when there is NO evidence to suggest she had anything to do with it....

No evidence linking her map to the shooter

No evidence the killer looked up to her or respected anything she said.

No evidence that Sarah Palin promoted violence against her political opponents or anybody else, and yet the Leftist LOONS want us to believe that Sarah Palin is responsible.

No evidence period..... ONLY wacky assumptions made by people who don't like her or her ideology.

Reporting comments and claiming she's a anti-Semite are two completely different things... Although some might be fooled into the way you spin the truth, I certainly am not.

On another note; I've heard more racist comments and references from Obama than I've heard from any President in recent history.. I've witnessed as our President with the help of Attorney General holder dropped the charges against the Pink Panthers just because they were Black. Dropping charges against a group who committed a Federal crime when they intimidated White voters on election day 2008.... I've also heard our own Vice President make racist comments and yet you say nothing about any of these instances.

For you, it's all about somebody who does NOT hold public office, who does not influence our lives one bit..

It's about a private citizen by the name of Sarah who's ideology you despise so much.

Obviously Palin does not know what the media is, remember during the presidential campaign - she could not even name a newspaper she read!

What does one expect from Palin? After all she knows about Foreign Policy because she can see Russia from her house (NOT), she is a big supporter of christian beliefs as long as they include witches and witch doctors! What is most worrying is the fact that some still think she might be Presidential calibre material, mind you her family links to Alaskan seperatists and the belief that Alaska will be the last surviving land come armagedon surely must appeal to some - after all there are still people who think fairies are real.

Roll on the Republican primaries - I am just glad the American hot drink of preference is coffee and not tea!

(Now this should illicite a response. )

Arizona Suspect’s Recent Acts Offer Hints of Alienation
By ERIC LIPTON, CHARLIE SAVAGE and SCOTT SHANE
    Published: January 8, 2011

“As I knew him he was left wing, quite liberal. & oddly obsessed with the 2012 prophecy,” the former classmate, Caitie Parker, wrote in a series of Twitter feeds Saturday. “I haven’t seen him since ’07 though. He became very reclusive.”

“He was a political radical & met Giffords once before in ’07, asked her a question & he told me she was ‘stupid & unintelligent,’ ” she wrote.

This reads like the same BS left wingers like Doc and BILLBO post about Sarah Palin..... Even 2 years after the election, they keep beating that same drum, the same HATE.
