GOING BACK TO 1995 - Why Domains are over-inflated

We are going back to 1995 baby - The day of the over-inflated domain speculation due to loose monetary policy by the Fed is over

The banksters hold the marked cards, the politicians are the dealer, and the taxpayers are the patsy in this game. Of course the banks are not just 'teetering' anymore. They have actually gone bankrupt.

As far as I am concerned, lets allow the roof to cave in

This fiat currency regime is TOASTED

These professional politicians need to be walked up to the guillotine and their heads chopped off

1995 here we come - see below - the year the bubble really started in all the major indexes - i remember the start of the bull market like it was yesterday

three important graphs for us to be familiarized with....nice post

the problem is the banking cartel wants to replace a flawed currency with another flawed currency.

if we restore sound money we can right the ship

domains are one of a kind and i don't see values going to 1995 days because of the explosive growth of the Internet (and widespread usage since 95)

domains are a good commodity to hedge against inflation imo if buying now or bought pre 2006 (or better yet registered)

    if executive 11110 gets passed,

what commodities could back the dollar (or a new currency?) ... perhaps a silver/copper index?

We need sound money so badly right now

I just bought 10 nice 100 oz silver bars from the Johnson Matthey mint

I just keep loading up on gold and silver at every opportunity

Just tell us what type of business you run. In the meantime, calling the domain industry "over inflated" in order to push gold and silver sounds childish. Investors span all markets and if gold and silver is your game, you're at the wrong forum.

    I only buy quality domains

Not 99% of the drek that gets talked about on this board

In my safe I keep my gold/silver bars, a gun, and my rare comic books

Protection for the present and hope for the future

Your perception of quality and that of others might differ.

Since domains are a hobby to you, perhaps you're preaching to the wrong crowd. After all, silver and gold are hobbies to us. Try a forum full of New Yorker traders but you'll need to speak some Yiddish.

No doubt - thats what keeps life interesting

PS- gold and silver are not hobbys - they are insurance policies for events which are hedges against future events which seem more and more inevitable

Quality is a matter of opinion for the most part (and also depends on what you want to do with it).

I look for easy development potential - rarely do I look to flip. I think what I've been investing in recently are pretty good domains (for me) but I'm sure most people would laugh at them (and rightfully so).

Right now I think a new bubble is going to start inflating. People now are wiser and mentalities are changing. Flipping is very hard now, parking isn't what it was even 2 years ago so people are now leaning towards development which (IMO) is a much better option for the long run. Even XZZYCGFRQ.com can be a good seller if developed (and SEO'ed) correctly.

My point is, you're throwing your theories about your hobby at people who deal with them as a profession. I have my own hobby about gold and silver numismatics but I don't go to a forum full of experts to throw my tantrum.

"Hobby" or "Profession" - You can claim either label but your opinion is no less valuable than mine - in fact your probably biased

How am I being biased? I'm being objective and an expert in my field. I don't play around with a hobby. That was a decade ago. Not sure how you get your valuations of the doom and gloom about domains and urge everybody to go buying precious metals.

That's fine, just stick to gold and silver and stay out of the domain business or your hobby might get too expensive. Leave the trading to the professionals.

    Hmm...

    You have two people:

Someone who casually studies medicine and anatomy, just for fun.

Someone who is a doctor and many years of practice under his belt.

Who would you prefer handling your open heart surgery?
