This is a positive for conservatives in the Republican Party. Senator Arlen Specter has decided to defect to the enemy. There's nothing better than getting rid of a rat in your party. Boy this is a real loss for the Republicans.

I mean the man voted with the Democrats most of the time anyway.

I wonder who will be next.....

I'd say Olympia Snowe is the next to switch parties... These Liberal Democrats who call themselves Republicans make me sick.

I remember watching a crime story about a Liberal activist named Ira Einhorn, Does anyone know who he is? You should, it's an interesting story really, he was a con man who murdered his Girlfriend, then fled the country for nearly 20 years, with the help of Arlen Spector of course.

When that party no longer represents the people we are rats?

When that party continues to conduct itself in the manner of the good ol' boys club the rest are called rats?

What do the Auto Industry and the GOP have in common?

A total lack of leadership and vision to make a product that people really want.

A principle and model of a group that is based on antiquitated and outdated models of business and business practices.

A continual failure to reach out to the consumer and the common man and ask "what is it that you want?" rather than telling us what we need and insistent that they know what is best for us.

I am not sure how old any of you are.

Therefore, I will not fault you if you have no idea how far away from values the GOP has gone.

And I am talking about true inner values, not the almighty dollar.

Just when I thought it was safe to go back to republican fold with Jesse Helms departure (you remember him, don't you? He was the person who stood on the Senate Floor and proclaimed that Aids was God's way of punishing gays), along come Virginia Foxx running on the same principles.

And what did she do? She stood on the same floor and at the same podium and proclaimed that the Matthew Shepherd Hate Crime bill was a hoax.

Yup, that is the narrow mindedness, the stupidity, the age old way of think-speak that I do not want to be associated with nor be part of.

Bullshit. MSNBC is far leftwing station that you never seem to criticize. Same goes for CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS.
