I would'nt shoot that cheap crappy low powered bulk .380 ammo out of my gun, nor would I carry it for self defense due to quality control issues and lack of stopping power..I buy and shoot only the best first run, non corrosive, brass cased, copper jacketed HP rounds through my guns. But then again, I am a gun & shooting fanatic and cost is not an issue.

I luckily bought a whole CASE of Black Hills .380 JHP +P ammo when things were getting bad and ammo was getting scarce, and they are simply some fantastic custom handloads using the venerable Hornady XTP bullet. Extremely accurate, low muzzle flash, clean shooting, VERY powerful.

Like anything else in life, you get what you pay for. Same with domains.

    Shoot safe kids.

I've ordered ammo in bulk from CheaperThanDirt, Midland and a couple more online merchants and have been very happy with price and one had a flat rate shipping. Local gun stores were trying to keep up with demand but it comes and goes as the popularity of rounds.

    Also, I've been saying .17HMR...its actually .17 Mach 2.

I was shooting Fiocchi make (9mm) for quite sometime and loved it. I have maybe 1000 rounds of that left. I was just looking on CTD and noticed most of the 9mm is sold out. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ItemL...6&pagenumber=5

Cheaper than dirt is a joke when it comes to their ammo prices. Check surplusammo.com or ammuntiontogo.com

I have no problem with military rounds either, I think it's good stuff actually, But most of it is jacketed, and your not allowed to shoot jacketed rounds at many of the ranges, especially at shooting events that use steel targets.

I mention them as one of many. There is a site online operated by brothers that I get a great deal of my ammo in the past. Great service, prices, and shipping.

I think I have used surplus ammo also. Like I mentioned in another post, it has been perhaps 2 years or more since I purchased in bulk and I am still sitting on several thousand rounds of various calibers.

I still have three guns I have yet to shoot - Ruger P95, Ruger Mach 3, and a gorgeous Beretta Semi-Auto 12 gauge. The shotgun was a purchase to help a friend out even though I did not need another shot gun. But hard to say no to a Beretta and a semi-auto.

How many of you save your casings?

That's another great thing about revolvers, you dont have to scramble on the ground to pick them up.
