The Greed had something to do with it

I gotta tell ya...Bold is nothing. I wish people everywhere were as mad as he is. Depressing that these greedy bankers and financial engineers and asset managers and company bosses and hedge fund managers have yet to be humbled by the global economic disaster which they played a significant role in creating. In contrast, non-greedy bankers and financial engineers and asset managers and company bosses and hedge fund managers who care enough about the national debt and the welfare of their own hardworking country men, would rather not have any tax breaks in light of the financial crisis. I wish these folks would speak up. I suppose they are apprehensive of being labeled as socialists. Or may be there aren't too many of the non-greedy ones.

Not too long ago the likes of John D Rockeller, JP Morgan, Andrew Carnegie, as well as other wealthy oil men and steel men and bankers, were criticized for consistently amassing a mega fortune and not contributing to the financial welfare of the state. Today such men get tax breaks. Men who couldn't possibly need anymore currency get tax breaks that compound to billions while their own country sinks down under. I look around and I don't hear much news about major corporations hiring on a large scale. I guess the people who advocate this are in on some type of joke. And then they turn to the government with a critical air for having done little.

50 years from now, economists will look back and wonder in bewilderment how we could have gotten hit by such a global crisis when technological advances and free markets had us poised to pursue our own personal and societal success, during the most exciting period in modern times. They'll have no choice but to conclude: "It was the greed. The greed had something to do with it."

"the United States is now in the grip of a political duopoly in which both parties are thoroughly complicit. They play a game: they agree to fight viciously over certain things to retain the allegiance of their respective bases, while agreeing not to fight about anything that seriously endangers the privileges of America's new financial elites. Whether this duopoly will endure, and what to do about it, are perhaps the most important questions facing Americans. The current arrangement all but guarantees the continuing decline of the United States as a nation, and of the welfare of the bottom 90% of its citizens."
-Charles Ferguson, producer of Inside Job

"These economic royalists complain that we seek to overthrow the institutions of America. What they really complain of is that we seek to take away their power. Our allegiance to American institutions requires the overthrow of this kind of power. In vain they seek to hide behind the Flag and the Constitution. In their blindness they forget what the Flag and the Constitution stand for."
    -Franklin Roosevelt

Today Obama brought in Clinton to explain how this is the best deal he can get.
Next week he is digging up Reagans corpse to explain how trickle down economics raises all boats.

The ones who make all of this possible are the hard core "so-called" conservatives who support the greedy rich and their paid for politicans. They don't seem to care about their country going down the drain so long as the rich are protected. But lets not forget the other supporters of the greedy who are just too damn lazy to learn the facts for themselves instead of being brain-washed by the power of the media controlled by the greedy rich and powerful.

Its no longer a question of whether the USA will continue to be recognized as a world leader in economics and capitalism. Its just a matter of time before it won't....if not already.

Very profound statement playing out right before our eyes.

This is why the power duopoly is not that far from one-party rule. There is no real choice and way out.

I look forward to your hard hitting exposés of international rogues minus American self-loathing when you become certain that the USA is no longer a world leader in economics and capitalism. Also, food for thought to a staunch opponent of greed - the elimination of greed via genetic engineering, training camps or other methods could enable the green holy grail, a steady state climate.
