I don't think so, According to his lawyer, the maid asked for it and when Strauss Kahn rejected her, (being the loyal married man that he is) he had to beat her off of him, that's when she ran out the room and reported it to Hotel staff and the NYPD.

What in the hell does her asylum application have anything to do with what happened in the hotel room? it doesn't and it wont be admitted in the trial... This is just another attempt to discredit the accuser, It's a common defense tactic, especially in a rape case.. But I don't see it working here, She has no motive for making this up, she didn't even know him. And then you have Kahns long history of sexual assaults and the Medical evidence, not DNA but medical evidence that could show Kahn was the attacker. Based on everything that's been published about this so far, your never going to convince me this was consensual....

Yeah, everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, NOT in a court of public opinion.

You had to have seen the interview that her (the victim) lawyer gave yesterday. Totally blasting the DA's office.

To put things in perspective here, the DA is the prosecutor and is essentially supposed to be in theory on the same side of the victim. The victim also has her own attorney. So, the DA and the victim and her attorney are all on the same team, correct?

According to the victim's attorney, the DA's office has totally blown the case and is now trying to portray the issue as an alleged scam artist. Aside from every thing the Prosecutor stated yesterday, to the victim's attorney it boils down to what they DID NOT say or disclose.

One of the biggest bombshells was that the number 3 person in the DA's office and on this case IS MARRIED to one of DSK's defense attorney's. Huge conflict of interest. And, the DA's office KNEW THIS! But the DA's office continued to allow her to be part of the team.

This was just one of numerous improprieties the victims lawyer asserted. Basically, they are trying to save face on the total bungling of handling the case and now know they can not win the case that the DA's office is putting all the blame on the victim. The victim's attorney was absolutely furious with the DA's office and vows to file the charges himself. Also, the victim is quite furious and will now come forward to defend herself (she's been in hiding).

Minimally, they will file in Civil court if the DA will not bring charges in criminal court.

This is going to get really interesting.
