The Israeli settlements in the West-Bank are illegitimate indeed. They should have never started constructions on the Palestinian territories.

I wonder how many Americans realize the huge liability that Israel represents for their country.
If the US finally did something about the settlements they would help everybody, including Israel and the US itself.
The fait accompli policy pursued by Israel for decades has been a total fiasco for all parties.
I think there is a window of opportunity right now, if democratic regimes can take hold in Arab countries that alone could foster new relations and pave the way for the future.
imo...

Buy the land? Imagine if Canada started illegal settlements in the USA and then the solution would be to buy the lands and call it Canada?! Look up the map before you start speaking about the settlements. I've been there, seen them, it's absolutely shocking how a gov. can do this.

Clinton is illegitimate.
First two member comments.
to the victor belongs the spoils. The land was gained by Israelis after defending themselves from aggression.
There should be a price to pay for attacking a neighbor nations.

Obama and his administration would probably betray Israel in a heartbeat, if it would gain him favor with the Muslims. So far, he has managed to alienate almost every nation that once were, if not close and dependable allies, at least reasonably respecting of and tolerant of the United States. It's frightening to consider how much more damage Obama's policies will do to the U.S., both domestically and internationally , before we are able to get him out of the Oval Office. I have lived under every President since FDR, and I can't think of a single, one, with the possible exception of Carter, who was less respected on the international scene. Some may not gave been well liked overseas, but at least they were recognized as not being reluctant to defend the interests of this country, and its allies.
