    How to Raise Our I.Q.

The average I.Q. of a person in 1917 would amount to only 73 on today’s I.Q. test. Half the population of 1917 would be considered mentally retarded by today’s measurements, Professor Nisbett says. How do you think we could raise our I.Q.'s?

I know how I prepared for an I.Q. test in advance. I simply took every free I.Q. test on the internet and then memorized all of my wrong answers. I suppose that's not the best was to ace a future I.Q. test but it worked for me. The Dr. testing me thought I was a genius. I just happened to get one of the exact same test I had memorized on the net is all. Does anyone have any ideas that might be more proper than my way to raise your I.Q. and permanently? I have probably forgotten almost all of my memorized answers by now. Penny for your thoughts?

I recently read that China ran 28 separate test on large numbers on people that drank fluoridated water and found all test showed that people drinking it had an average of 7% less I.Q. than people that didn't drink fluoridated water. I find it interesting that different races have different I.Q.'s. Do you think I.Q.'s are hereditary?

Worldwide Average IQ by Race below. I wonder if the prison populations would correlate to I.Q.'s? Does anybody know? I'll have to study that.
    Jews 120
    Asians 110
    Whites 100
    Arabs 98
    Blacks 80

Hong Kong has the highest average I.Q. of any country and all of the top I.Q. countries don't fluoride their water. I think they give us fluoride to dumb us down, not to help our teeth. What right do they have to decide about our teeth health and force fluoride on us anyway?

Right. That's why she quit, to avoid the ethics violations as a governor. Good riddance.

You have no idea what your talking about. She resigned because she couldn't get anything done in Alaska because of a law that allows people to file bogus complaints over and over again which has cost the State of Alaska and Sarah Palin millions of dollars to defend. Don't forget that she has a PERFECT record in defending herself from these bogus allegations.

Please can someone list these so called ethics violations that have been proven true. I feel like being amused today.

I can't argue with Palin supporters. It's painful watching the demise of human chromosomes. We'll soon need another category; Homo Republicus - the modern equivalent of Neanderthals.

My Ideal Country, by Sarah Palin

    • A country where the "pro life" movement wins because there is nothing more important than protecting the innocent. However, I don't want there to be equal healthcare for all US humans because children in $1million/year households are more important than children in $25k/year households. So protecting the innocent starts at conception, and ends at ~9 months.
    • A country where children do not have equal healthcare. I must restate, as soon as a child is born, they are no longer innocent. I want their chance at education to be completely dependent on their parents well being. Cause seriously, what would Jesus do?
    • A country where we believe it is right to force other countries into revolution. A country where we have no acknowledgement for the different time periods the world lives in, taking this fact into consideration when we want to help other countries with issues like women's rights.
    • A country where we forget the power of information by accusing scientists of being elitists, and confusing what the word 'theory' means. I want our country to never forget the following: Scientists do not question their research. They jump to conclusions based on their personal conversations with their God.
    • A country where instead of focusing on the most important teachings of Jesus for social change, we focus on areas of the Old Testament that are open to a wide variety of interpretation. Why spend most of our time on issues like poverty, taking care of your neighbor, humility, charity vs. greed, parenting... when we can focus on gay marriage.

Does this mean that if I didn't vote for McCain because of Palin my IQ went up 25 points?

Seriously, though, there are a lot of factors.

IMO the children in school now don't get punished like we did. I hear parents all the time now "Oh, my parents spanked me and I didn't like it so I'm not spanking them". "Oh, my parents took the TV away from me so I'm not going to do that to my kids". Without punishment and discipline then the children grow up lacking in respect which comes out in school - students don't respect the teachers and the kids who do respect the teachers and want to learn are outcasted by the other children and usually bullied. Thus, it is better and less painful to be less educated (or appear less educated). It just goes downhill from here.

To the teachers - they get paid like crap unless they are extremely good and many teachers "give up" once they hit their tenure. I don't think teachers should be held completely accountable for their student's progress but it should be looked at. Get better qualified teachers and pay them better. 2-3 GOOD teachers can easily do the job of 3-5 mediocre teachers.

Parents are also letting Wiis, PS3's, and XBoxes raise their children. I wonder how many children watch educational programs today like Sesame Street (does it still exist?) or other similar programs? instead, they'd rather carjack someone in Grand Theft Auto or play Baseball on XBox (note: I am not saying violent video games lead to violent children). How many today can actually play baseball (you know, out in a field where Johnny's bookbag is first base, the small tree is second base, and the fence post is their base. Babysitters are ebing replaced with video game systems and computers.

IMO there are many failures in the system and not just one thing will make a noticeable difference, many aspects need ot be changed.

I think it's because of the simple fact our standards were lowered. Therefore, IQ scores are easier/higher.

I find it really hard to argue with someone who has blindly followed Barack Obama. I wonder if you'll change your mind about him when his poll numbers are in the low 30's which I predict they'll be.

Chlorinated water is what's in swimming pools (so yes, only dumber-than-average people would be drinking that). Did you perhaps mean fluoridated water?

If you draw a fresh glass of water from my home facet it smell like a pool.

Our city adds a small amount of chlorine to tap water that's for drinking, it kills bacteria.

"I think they give us chlorine to dumb us down"

Chlorine kills bacteria -- drink water from a city tap without it you'll be enjoying a massive attack of diarreah

Flouride makes for stronger teeth, and people in places where it is added to water tend to live longer.

Conspiracy theorists and fundamentalists have long fought against Fluoride and Chlorine (and round earth theory and electricity), but they tend to have bad teeth and are rushing to the toilet all of the time.

I REALLY want to see Palin run for president -- it will be so much fun! Some HAS to ask her how long she would stay in office before QUITTING due to people "asking questions".

Jon Stewart nailed her again last night on her "not quitting" quitting speech. I guess nobody told her that she had 15 months remaining, which is NOT considered a "lame duck" period, it's just called 'quitting'.

It may be to kill the cesspool of drugs found in many municipalities across the country. Philadelphia had the highest in the country. I believe it was 57 named prescription drugs found in their water supply.
