Why is the President Killing people if the US is not in a war? The fact is the US is in a War on Terror and has been for years. President Obama keeps making cuts to the defences of America.

The defense cuts of the recent past, present, and future will weaken our nation, leave us vulnerable to attack and hasten in an unmistakable era of American decline.

For the past two years, the Pentagon has suffered cut after damaging cut, killing off vital military modernization programs and atrophying our military's end strength. Yet after pilfering our national security budget to pay for more entitlement programs and irresponsible social spending, President Obama announced plans to cut a jaw-dropping $400 billion from the defense budget over a 12-year period.

I don't want Obama impeached, I don't want Republicans even thinking about asking for Obama's impeachment... It's a losing proposition no matter how you look at it.

It wont remove him from power and will only work to the advantage of the Democratic party, I can see it on the front page of the LA Times now; "White Republicans impeach Black President"

I don't see a recovery in 2012 though, no matter who's elected. Americans are still pretty much the same people who voted Obama in a few years ago. There hasn't been any enlightenment that I can see. Even when the truth is exposed, people will want to blame anyone except themselves (or their voting decisions). So they dig in and double down.

These documents prove Holder knew about the Operation nearly an entire year before he testified before Congress. Holder, he lied to Congress.

To a degree I think your right, but a great majority of those Obama supporters have already abandoned ship, I know that in my circle of friends this is the case. Think back to pre-election 2008 when Obama had all that overwhelming support, some went as far as to describe him as the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, Today you'd be lucky to find someone who will readily admit they voting for him. The ones who will never change are the diehards with a Liberal and progressive ideology, the good news about them is their a lot less enthused about their candidate this time around, which means lower voter turnout on election day (i hope)

The most important vote is going to be the Independents, they have changed and their going to be the loudest voice in this election.

As for job killing assholes, that distinction (along with low job creating asshole) would go to the previous administration. In eight years in office, less than 3 million jobs were added to the total payroll (source).

Debates are fun and history is more fun (for some of us). It is not fun for those that insist on rewriting history.

So lets take a looksee at one of those factoids regarding job loss vs job creation:

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, total nonfarm employment (the standard measure of jobs) declined by nearly 8.4 million between its most recent peak in December 2007 and when the job slump bottomed out two years later, in December 2009. Of those lost jobs, 4.4 million disappeared while Bush was president, and just under 4 million vanished during Obama’s first year.

Bush’s last month in office saw a particularly severe job loss: 779,000. Adding those losses to Obama’s column and subtracting them from that of Hughes’ ex-boss would (incorrectly) put the totals at 3.6 million jobs lost under Bush and more than 4.7 million lost under Obama. Even that wouldn’t be a disparity that we would characterize as "vast." But vast or not, the comparison is wrong.

And for the record, the economy regained 1.1 million of the lost jobs during the last year, and the unemployment rate has declined from its peak of 10.1 percent, reached in October 2009.

Oh, and for the record...job losses posted in Jan 09 and Feb 09 are calculated towards the Bush presidency just because that is how stats are kept. Those loses are posted by already planned off layoffs, closures, bankruptcies, and seasonal employment.

Was George Bush re-elected in 2008 to solve the nations problems? You would almost think so by reading post #16.

Another "Doc SPIN", manipulating job numbers... One thing he cant manipulate is the unemployment rate which was at 7.6% when George Bush left office, and is currently 9.1%.

The Obama solution to help create more jobs? Create a Bill and name it the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act" AKA "Job Stimulus" where the USA borrows $787 BILLION Dollars from Foreign countries and gives it to States, Public sector Unions, Special interests groups and campaign contributors who donate to the DNC. Money that will later be collected by higher taxes off the backs of hardworking Americans. And to sell the Job Stimulus, let's LIE to the American people and tell them it will keep the Unemployment rate below 8%.

It wouldn't be so bad if the recovery act or stimulus bill helped create jobs in the private sector, but it DIDN'T... It created ZERO!. To this date, over 2.5 MILLION private sector jobs have been LOST under the Obama presidency.

Obama's $787 Billion stimulus plan (or payoff as I like to call it) would have to be the most ineffective use of borrowed money in recent US History.


And somebody had the audacity to ask;

"Since when is it the government's task to create or add jobs?"
