Iran - with a threatening statement?

While I agree nations should be allowed to supply energy for there people and the ability to defend themselves, Iran latest statement about their new, and until recently severe plant seems like a threat to everyone who is against it:

(CNN) -- Tehran's new uranium enrichment plant will be operational soon, and "will blind the eyes of the enemies," Iran's semi-official news agency Fars reported Saturday, quoting a senior Iranian official.

Granted, it could be taken several ways but wow, that is a rather bold, and aggressive statement.

I was just reading that on CNN.

As for bold statements, that is the rhetoric coming out of serpent's mouth.

I am more convinced than ever before that there is going to be a pre-emptive strike. Not by the US but it will be done with complete tactical and logistical support.

A secretive site is definitely troubling and demonstrates an aggressive motive.

With the disclosure of this facility I believe that attempts at diplomacy are going to be limited and short.

When you mix intense heat and sand, you get glass. I think parts of Iran are about to become sheets of molten glass.

I have a lot of issues with how Israel conducts itself, particularly with regard to the high number of civilian casualties that it's military endeavors always seem to generate. But those issues aside, Israel has a right to exist like any other nation, and it's citizens have a right to live their lives without worrying about whether or not Hezbollah is going to stroll across their northern border, and set off a dirty nuke.

If Iran forces Israel into taking military action over this issue, then Iran has only itself to blame.

Iran has been spouting off at the mouth for years. Nothing new here, except that they are getting closer to actually being able to deliver a bomb.

As the next Carter, I expect Obama to allow our defenses to weaken, but perhaps he played another card with his recent allowances to Russia (defense shield cancellation). Not sure if he is smart enough, but maybe we did our part of the deal. Now what do we get in return? Silence from Russia while we flatten Iran by proxy through Israel?

Iran funds and arms Hezbollah, fact. Hezbollah has deliberately targeted Israeli civilians with Katyusha rockets that were provided by Iran, fact. Ahmadinejad has and continues to use the Holocaust as a means to intimidate and insult the state of Israel, fact.

I don't want to see a war between anyone, but Iran seems to be trying to force Israel's hand. Bush lied his ass off with regard to Iraq, but where is the propaganda this time?

Inspectors have been in Iran for years. They technically don't have to tell anyone about a facility until 6 months prior to production.

The sad thing is that the Iranian people will suffer the most from any actions - either though sanctions or even military. I had quite a few friends in college from Iran - even the people are sick of the BS. They want western capitalism but it's the few who have the power keep the government in tact.

But - if an invasion force comes in then it will unite them with their government.

Change has to come from the inside first - look at Iraq.

Yes, Iran supplies Hezbollah and has even been proven to support resistance fighters in Iraq but even with all that the people will still back their government. :(

If there is war with Iran there will be a World War. Russia is already trying to arm Iran. That ship that went missing was carrying a missile. No they didn't. That whole election fraud protest was all staged. CIA and MI6 try to overthrow the government. They have one of the CIA/MI6 operatives who paid the groups tried and convicted, he admitted to doing it.

I highly doubt that. Iranians are quite different from other middle-eastern countries. My impression is they truly want a more western style government.
