What I thought when I first watched this video was; "Why isn't the shoe-thrower immediately jumped?". I thought Bush was one of the most guarded men in the world and this journalist actually gets to throw his one shoe, then take off the other one and throw it as well, before a couple of guys walk up to him. I thought it would be like; "Shoe!!!" and then a half second later the guy would be put in chains by five gorillas.

very unprofessional of the journalist to do it in the first place. If he had thrown a shoe at Saddam he wouldn't be alive right now. To think about it he probably wouldn't even be a journalist right now if Saddam hadn't been removed in the first place.

He did dodge those shoes pretty good. I was also surprised how long it took security to show up. The security check to get in that room must have been intense, so they may have had their guard down a bit.

Seriously though, there are people out there treating this as if it was an assassination attempt. Fercrisakes, it was a shoe! It's not like they could actually kill you any more than a pretzel co--- oh, wait.
