Another greedy and corrupt Jefferson, only this time it's not William Jefferson Clinton, its the one who served on the House Ways and Means Committee, these two must share the same gene pool.

And to our House speakers Dennis Hastert and Nancy Pelosi, I say "screw you!" for demanding that the FBI return the documents, the FBI raid was legal and justified, In a poll conducted by ABC, 86% of Americans support the FBI's right to search congressional offices with a warrant.

I would imagine with all the government spending these days there's a lot of people involved in government and with government contracts with more than just freezers full of cash. Hell there were deisel truckloads of it rolling around a war torn country. I guess it should all be done the way the republicans do it. Give all your friends hundred billion dollar contracts and all the while you can say you aren't receiving any benefits from it. Except when it gets funneled back to you after office. Not that I condone his behavior but you really are fooling yourself if you think it doesn't go on on both sides of the fence. Do you find it strange that out of all the indictments the majority were Democrats in a Republican lead government. What am I saying? Nah our great president wouldn't use the law to push his own agenda would he? Nah.. I just wish the Dems would get the balls to start working on some indictments of their own.

But our great leader can do as he wishes to any US citizen or even non, warrant or not? And thats all ok with you because it's all in the name of national security.

I had been following this for years (about two) as my father is buried in N.O. and I still have family down there. I would imagine Katrina more or less put everything on the back burner in this regard.

It is amazing it has taken this long to bring the case to the indictment level. Even more amazing, but at the same time not the least bit surprising, he was re-elected.

But, in keeping with the history of politics in the good ol' USA political machine, this will turn into a bi-partisan battle with both sides digging in.

For one, I never said Bush was great , And two, If your referring to the Patriot Act, Congress approved it and its supported by the majority of the American people, including myself.

It did take a long time didn't it? Politics plays a role as always... As for crooks being re-elected to office, It seems whenever a candidate is well liked, he can do no wrong, Convict him of a horrible crime and Americans would still vote for him. Just look at the OJ case.

Actually, Republicans have done their fair share of corruption in the last 6 years. It knows no boundaries, but the party in power certainly tends to have more opportunity. I like to see all of them go down, I don't care if they have an "R" or a "D" after their name. I guess the frustrating thing is that, from my point of view, the media tends to not give as much attention to Democratic corruption. I don't think that's helpful to any of us. A corrupt politician should be seen a just that, not as a Democrat or Republican.

But the point is they are all corrupt. There is no way in hell you will ever remove that unless you remove money from the picture and that can't be done. There are many ways to be "paid off". Book deals, stocks, extremely high paying jobs after the fact. Having to raise hundreds of millions of dollars to get in office is the biggest problem. The more money they have to raise to get there and the more time that goes by the more corrupt they will be. That is unless you can work out a way to fix an election then you don't need all that money. If you know how to do that you can put one of the biggest idealogical idiots in the US in the presidency.

I have no problem bashing a dem, althought I'd rather bash the people stupid enough to re-elect him and Nagin.

Nagin blames the feds (rightly so) but accepts no responsibility in the chaos leading up to and after Katrina. The same goes for then Dem. Gov. Blanco. So glad she got booted out after only one term. She also blames the fed response(s) (or lack thereof) to everything. Yet she personally turned down assistance before and after the Katrina storm. And I know of this on a personal level and not second hand information.
